Looks as plain as expected, though fitting given its generational lineage.

I think they're GN Condensers like in the GN Cannon from the previous chapter.

Also it seems the model number is CBY-001 and the official name is 1 Gundam rather than I

Wait, wrong series. Regardless, at least now we know that VEDA was consistent in incorporating those arm Condensers (instead of it being a slapped on afterthought by the designers, which I had initially thought upon first seeing the GN Cannon). I wonder if they could project a GN Field of some sort.

I kinda wish the design of the legs wasn't so copy and paste from the Reborns Gundam. The blue backside to the thighs and calves just make it seem like it was supposed to be a two-tone mode-switching machine like the Reborns Gundam. I was hoping that it would be more of it's own unit instead of hinting at the abomination Ribbons would eventually create.

The Reborns Official Profile did say that the Reborn's design was completed at a considerably early stage,so they may be a possibility that the 1 Gundam IS the Reborns Gundam,we would know that the data is probably used at the very least.

But I agree with you,I wish it wasnt so copy paste either,which is a shame because they are some aspects of the 1 Gundam that I liked.A bit more difference would have been fine,I wish we'd gotten a bit more like GRM did for Gadessa and Plutone.

I wish it was more of a standaloen unit as well.

But I liked GN Cannon alot more as a standalone.

The profile's comments about the base design being finished at an early point is in reference to what we now know is the 1 Gundam, rather than Reborns Gundam itself.

Plus 1 Gundam appears to be destroyed in an embarrassing fashion in the last chapter of 00P.

so my question...who designed it? Was this Ribbons' work or VEDA?

I assumed it was Veda, given that the description back for the Reborn Gundam stated that it's based off a design by Veda (which was based off of the Exia) to have been the "perfect" blend of Gundam technology.

so this could have been Setsuna's 00 if Ribbons hadnt gone ribbons

Naah! i dont think setsuna like it. since you need a second pilot to pilot GN cannon to support it.

It wouldn't be that hard for Veda to modify 1 Gundam according to Setsuna's liking.

If Setsuna underwent Innovation probably, given that it was also intended for a True Innovator (so states a translated blurb back in the Reborn Gundam/Cannon thread).

I think that comment from 2ch is inaccurate, or at least misleading. Since we saw the remark, we've had Beside in #24 refer to 1 Gundam as having been developed for the use of Innovado. Further, the 1 Gundam's profile:
