Gunpla Customs, 1/144, 1/100, 1/60, ANYTHING!

Yes, this is a thread iv been wanting to have here for ages. I love gunpla for some odd reason, and love to see custom works more than straight builds (like any self-respecting gunpla enthusiast would). Mostly i look for them to get some ideas on what to do if i ever grab that kit, or just to waste otherwise valuable time.

Be they conversion jobs, scratch builds or even really neat straight builds (yea, ok, the really well-done straight-builds are nice too), share them here and save me the time of wandering the intarwebs in search of new stuff.

very few modellers know how to get orange to look good on a mobile suit, especially when said MS is a Gundam.

Since this thread is bound to (and already does not) contain 00-related Gunpla, I modded the Gundam Graphics permissions to accomodate this thread.

But only because it looks so much like regular Gunpla. That said, when the real Hellion comes out, I'm gonna feel sorry, as I usually do, for the guy who went through so much to customize that Flag.

Though i dont like he used lue Frames bigass sword...but the rest of the peice if great.

I like the big ass sword... but I don't like how green those blackish orbs are painted... too bright!

Still, its a spectacular kit! The 1/100th Exia hasn't even been out for very long! I was impressed to see such a well done kit out so soon!

I dunno 'bout you guys, but as much as I think that the Exia's feet are tad too short, this mod's feet are very awkward. Especially if you look at it starting from the head going down. They just look too flat for the macho torso.

Yeah, I kinda thought of that too. They really don't work if you look at the entire thing.

No, youre right they dont work well. Exia's overall design is blocky and Strike's...well its a collage of shapes with very little consistency to the design. I think if the feet were the original Exia's but made a tiny it longer yet keeping the blocky look, it would have been better.

But im still wary cuz as far as im concerned, Exia's design is simply perfect in every way. There is no possible way i can go back and change proportions here and there even a tiny bit and come off better the Ebikawa's original work. Im not saying that its by any stretch the best design or that its my favourite or anyhting of teh sort, i simply mean that for what it is, all proportions and shapes and equipment placement fits perfectly to the overall design. I think the same could be said for the other three Gundams, and pretty much the whole mecha cast, no?

(though admitedly id shrink the Flag's hands a tiny bit but thats a pref)
