(Click to see Promo Images) This line is really starting to look impressive right off the bat. The proportions on all of them are just looking great! They don't look a thing like the old MSiA figures I'm used to... and its for the better I think! As a big Dynames/Lockon fan, some of you know its been kinda tough accepting the Cherudim, but I think this RD Figure makes it look great.

They stopped the MSiA Line and are just doing things under this new name. Different mechanics and such I assume too. They were pretty adamant about not being anything like the ol MSiA line

I think the only one I'll be getting for sure will be the GN Flag. I'm going to wait until the show actually starts before I decide which of the second season Gundams I'm going to buy, if any.

Are these guys gonna be in scale with the old EMSiA line?

They should be about 4'5 inches tall. Maybe a little taller seeing as the quality is supposed to be pretty high. The Offshoot! figures are a little taller than my MSiA, and EMSiA.

Any release info on a standard flag or Overflag (none-GN)?

Not yet, but I'm hoping they will be announced soon. Bandai did emphasize that RD isn't only for main robots, and we're having an enormous release schedule for the upcoming 2009 year. Hopefully now that they have a good base body to work with (The GN Flag), it'll only take them a little bit to remold some parts and present us with a quality Overflag. EDIT - Interestingly enough, they took off the "Pincer" image from the Arios RD gallery on Tamashii Web.

| QUOTE | From Happinet Online, three new Robot Damashii entries, plus the release date and price of Selavee announced. No images for each product at the moment. Click on the names for the link to the website.
- O Riser - Late December release, 1,365 Yen. * Can merge with Robot Damashii 00 Gundam.
- 00 Gundam & O Riser - Late December release, 4,200 Yen. * A boxset that include 00 Gundam and 00 Gundam * Special coloring for 00 Gundam (as compared to the single release of 00) * Some parts from the single release not included.
- Selavee - Late January release, 4,987 Yen.
- Ahead - Late January release, 2,625 Yen. |
With that kind of price point in the Selavee it's practically a sure thing that the "hanger-on" is a separate and fully articulated figure.

I'm really liking the new breed of action figures coming out. I'm tempted to pick one up. Like more tempted than usual.

Moeyo.com has a photo gallery of the RD 00 Gundam for any interested... http://www.moeyo.com/2008/10/post_6178.htmlI gotta say that I'm a little disappointed with the final product. I thought it was going to be a step up from the old MSIAs, but it looks like Bandai still has the same QC issues (bent v-fins, paint flubs, etc.). Overall, it looks like a decent figure, but I think I'm more impressed with the HCM-Pro 00 Gundam, especially the one that comes with the O Rizer (amiami.com has a very nice photo gallery of that figure in the link below). http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html

To be fair, that's Moeyo's sample, while Bandai will obviously pick the most perfect out of the produced batch they get for their photo galleries. I've seen plenty of HCM Pros with mispainted faces, unfortunately.
