i just rewatched s2 episode 24 and I just thought maybe anew isnt fully dead(lol) and her memories is stored inside veda just like what's happening to Tiera and Regene.

Thread hopping again, Anew was definitely one of S2's biggest failures.

She had little screen time, even fewer lines, and the biggest aspect of her character (Her relationship with Lyle) was handled almost entirely off-screen. We were supposed to feel sad when she died, I imagine, but she really didn't have much character to empathize with. Even the 'tragedy' of Ribbons hijacking her free will rang hollow; she only ever did what CB, the Innovators, or Lyle told her to, so it isn't as if she lost anything she was using to begin with.

The initial "spy vs spy" concept with Lyle, and Anew being the one to reveal the "Innovado" plot twist (Rather than Tieria pulling it out of nowhere), sounds like it would've been more interesting than the staff-described "pop lover" romance we got.

Again, in general I agree but overall I liked Anew. The key part for me was that she reinforced the idea that Innovades could have a true future with humanity, not just one making a slave race of the other. If only Tieria had taken that attitude than it would have fallen flat. I do agree that the 'clash of the spies' original intent may have proven a better usage of her and that the romance was rushed (apparently we just accept that for 4 months off camera they were at it like rabbits).

Another area where the Innovado would've benefited from being more than just one-dimensional villains created to job. The Innovado in general were a custom-built slave race designed to suffer and die for Celestial Being, but since the anime glosses over all the despicable stuff CB/Veda is responsible for, they're just skittle-themed mustache-twirlers plus Tieria and Anew.

As an aside, I can sympathize; I liked Revive and Hiling, for God's sake.
