Title: SVMS-01SG
Description: Union Shell Flag
GM ace - February 19, 2008 03:52 AM (GMT)

Overall height: 18.5 meters
Base weight: 86.0 metric tons
Armament: 20mm machine gun x 1, defense rod x 1, 120mm rifle x 1, 200mm rifle x 1
So, we got a little glimpse of this fellow in the background during Episode 15, and naught since. Certainly looks a bit sturdier than it's airborne cousin, although I must question the wisdom of turning a variable, flying MS into a static ground pounder. It just looks . . . rather top heavy. Although I do like the green coloring, and since we haven't seen that color on-screen yet I take it to mean the SF will be making another appearance somewhere down the line.

There's already a
Shell Flag Topic by the sidestory section.

Lets keep in mind that we still haven't been able to confirm that this unit appeared in the animated 00 story. It has already been documented in the Gundam 00 V section:
Shell Flag

We've got confirmation now, thanks to
Homeless.
Also, "Realdo Hovertank."

We sure do! For references' sake, we should continue all Shell Flag-related discussion here instead of branching and having two different topics about the same machine.

This is such a great looking machine. The Flag is my favorite design in the series and I'm loving all its variants as well--this one especially. I'm also really curious to learn more about what Edgar's Parish posted in the other thread for this suit, that its armor uses nanomachines that lets it change colors depending on situation.
I hope we get to see this play a major role in the series at some point. It's just such an awesome design.

I hope we get a kit of it! I really like the idea of nanomachines in the armor to change the armors color. Its a really innovative machine if you ask me. Seems like there was more thought put into the Shell Flag than the Overflag.

I'm with you. The Overflag, while awesome, is really just an improved Flag. I mean, I could be wrong, but the only real difference is its improved stats? Well, that and its head module.
The Shell Flag, on the other hand, really looks like someone took the time to consider what role it would play. I mean, yeah, it's really just a Flag with a pretty new dress to wear to prom, but I think that's part of what makes it so neat. It's a Flag, but it's still a new beast entirely. Plus, I think it's safe to say, the Alex's chobham armor was awesome as hell and this seems to be along the same lines.
Out of curiosity, is there any other suit that's known to use nanomachines in the series? I can't think of any, but I don't have to same encyclopedic knowledge that some of you guys have.
On an a purely fanboy perspective, I look forward to seeing the Shell Flag start pounding on Tieren Ground Type. :P Sorry to those who prefer to Tieren...
