I think JKR is just thinking of new things to make people buy the book. Im sure he wasn't gay until this last book came out.

I completely disagree. JKR has always thought Dumbledore was gay but never said anything because it might not have went down well with Christians (which it hasn't)

I don't see how it is such a revelation. Who honestly cares whether or not he is gay? It irritates me that if she had said "Oh, Dumbledore is straight, but had no interest in love" there would be no news article and no narrow minded activists having to comment on it.
