oscar my blk and whte mogg, is so very thin, he is eating well but not a lot. He eats mostly dry food being royal cannin, senable or fitt 32. and whiskers pouches, the meat in jelly, along with the odd mouse or rabbitt!! yes rabbitt!! although I will not let him eat all of the rabbit. I worm him and flea him one a month, but he still seems to me to be so thin?? he has had his jabs etc. He loves to play and playfight with blueberry, and us,my partner says I am being a worrier and as long as he is bright eyed etc all is ok. I am just wondering if anyone out there has come across this, have you any idea's. Do you think I am being silly, and enjoy that he is a twiggy of the cat world??. Compred to the other cats in the area oscar is very tall he seems to be a long and tall cat, he is 2yrs old. he weighs about 9lbs Please let me know what you think, Thanks Tizzie

hi tizzie, yes thin cats, my cat is on the thin side but she looks bigger as she is a long long haired, i don't think it's a big problem, if your cat is eating and seems happy then maybe she is just not meant to be big.
yes, if she was not eating and thin, yes i think you would have a problem, the food and biscuits you are giving seem fine.
but then if you have a worry pop into your vet and have a word with the receptionist, they are usually helpful.
hopes this helps you??

Thanks Janrd for your thoughts,
Oscar just now has started to fill out a bit he seems to have got a bit thicker around his neck.and chest he is staying around us and not out all day so he is eating more and sleeping. I think because he was a rescue cat and is very nevus, he would disappear all day, and only come back in the evening. he is a lot more calmer and will come and sit with us and be stroked. so I think all of this has helped. the vet did not seem to be bothered about it when I took him for his jabs,so I have stopped worrying (just a bit !!!)
