For the longest time, there has never been a raise in salary. I have been part of TSBU program. It started out as 12,000 basic + 3000 "transportation" allowance, for TSR 0. Once regularized or for TSR 1, basic was 15,000. TSR 2 is 19,440. If you get lucky to be promoted to TSR3 or TSR4, it would be higher.

I remember, in one of Benedict's talk in a company GA back in 2006, he mentioned that there has been a salary increase. Heads turned left and right, questions like "What raise"? were asked. I myself wasn't sure what he was talking about. It could have been great if there was...

Contact centers 4, 5 and 6 were put up and 7 is on its way. Company news reports about a FAT increase in revenue, Php went down and all but the salary remained the same. Poor employees being worked up like horses.

I hate math, but if you think about it, employees are paid in Peso. Income is earned in USD. If the Peso value comes down, income remains the same, it should be proportional to the employee pay and should result to a raise.

More programs were put up. Some programs started with a regular call volume. As time goes by, the client/s see good performance and would increase the number of calls coming in. Workload, as expected, would also increase. For the same freaking pay, you get to answer more calls. It's more tiring and more stressful.

More calls coming in would mean bigger company revenue. And take note, it is in USD. Where does it all go to? Who knows...to the people up there who are VIP who do not have an idea how the frontliners or income generators work their asses off for some measly pay.

Hi guys

Well lets not forget that some CC especially the big ones are providing Pay increase thru incrementals. For so long i have yet to hear etelecare offer that to their employees, especially to the tenured CSA/TSR reps.

Why not make the employees happy?

Oh yes that too. HR, comp and ben and maybe even helpdesk. They are under CSA1/TSR0 category pay. NO transportation allowance, NO night diff, NO raise. They have PA bonuses but they do not get promoted, just because they are a non-income generating team. They get to work double and sometimes triple shifts just to get the job done. This is not an exaggeration. The company's too freakin cheap to get more people. So what happened next? People left.

Since im from a inhouse support now, its a different ball game.

Pero mura pa din bayad sa atin, nawala tuloy value natin sa market

Profit is the only thing that's important to them.
Let's assume Php 500 = USD 11, daily rate in etel.
-etel earns in USD (normally per call)
-in the US, people get paid at least $11 PER HOUR

do the math (cuz i hate it hehe)

IT work is global. Can't afford? I don't think so.
I remember drives crashed and several months worth of data was...unrecovered. But that's another story. lol
