hey jinyi..parting is such sweet sorrow... :( it's like breaking up with someone because you don't become better persons anymore, although you like being with that person. i just resigned recently, i'm still moving on. excited though, but not yet happy. <_<

haha, tru, i agree.. i cant believe it but i actually felt the same thing when i left etel (pero onti lang) nawala lang nung nakuha ko yung last pay ko (after 3 years of service, bayaran ka ba naman ng Php 1900.. @#$#@$@#$@!# but that's another story)

iba talaga feeling pag first company :) hahaha

Hi everyone. This is my 2nd post here. I'm a veteran at eTel. I've been there for both the highs and lows. I've been a satisfied employee and a dissatisfied one as well.

I just noticed that majority of the posters here are really dissatisfied with eTel. And I couldn't blame you since there are a lot of things to improve with the way things are done in our company. But compared to other call centers, I still think eTel is the best out there.

Why do I say this? Because I've known of people who resigned from the company and moved to other call centers but eventually return to eTel. Why do they return to eTel? Foremost because of the culture that the company has. Other call centers doesn't have a good and strong culture as we do. Compensation is all the same if you ask me. The basic pay maybe higher but the night diff is lower in other call centers and others don't have quarterly PA's. Most of the time we think that it's greener on the other side of the fence, but sometimes it's worse or it wasn't green at all.

Btw, ba't walang thread ang Voyager, Cingular, at yung mga sales programs? Wala bang mga dissatisfied employees dun?

Welcome LL. I apologize, we admins do not really have much information on other Service Groups. I have just put up 2 new topics for the said programs. Members may pm us or they may create new topics for the missing programs. Remember, it's our forum. Suggestions are appreciated. And messaging is very much encouraged between admins and members.
And thanks for this and future insights. We would probably have to continue this discussion in the 'Salary and Benefits' Topic. ^_^

We try to get as much people as possible to join the boards and for one, we mainly do that on friendster. I would think that word of mouth is a better form of "advertising." Sad to say, even those invited are less likely to visit us to hear or read more things that are work-related.

The problem with eTel is that there is lack of communication between departments. In a floor there could be more than 1 program, sometimes even share the same workstations after 1 program ends their shift/s. But the agents who are "mainstays" would not know who they are and what program they are from. Silly ain't it. Let me continue on the other topic.

True. I guess each program is too focused on meeting metrics that there's little chance or no interaction at all with other employees from other programs/service delivery groups.

I guess the only time that people from other programs interact with each other is during the sportsfest. Kaso competition pa!

I think the only time that there was a bit of interaction between programs aside from the sportsfest was a site GA held at Metrowalk at 8am in the morning. Each program was tasked to present a little history about itself in a small presentation.

I seriously think the company should promote awareness and understanding among programs since none of us exist in a vacuum.
