I just got a message on last.fm from someone saying
"Mr Forbes has a gig at the 333 in That London on 19th May - see you there!
-Envy & Other Sins"

I don't know how the person who sent it is related to Envy, or how he knows them, in fact I don't know anything else. I sent him a message asking about it but he hasn't replied yet.

What could this be about? And can anyone go?

i really hope this isnt what we're all thinking

i've talked to ali quite a bit lately
his comment to me on facebook said "we're kind of doing our own things for a bit, taking a break from Envy - I've been recording some stuff + it's going well"

but ive asked him if they had a fall out and if envy are coming back but he wont reply.

i support them whatever their choice but obviously if it is the worst i will be majorly upset

never trhe less im off to london in a couple of weeks to catch up with ali and check out his solo stuff

who's going too?

Hi guys,

Just to shed a bit of light on things...

In February A&M decided to let us go (fools that they are), and as we'd been finding it difficult to be productive in the studio I decided to take a step back from Envy and concentrate on something different - I did a bit of soundtrack work and then wrote some new songs and wanted to give them a spin.

What the future holds for Envy remains to be seen, but we haven't fallen out and will definitely all be still working together in one way or another, and rest assured anything we put out together or by ourselves will be as good as if not better than what you've heard already.

Hopefully see you soon,
Ali

What?! How could they let you go? Stupid idiots. I guess in some ways its not surprising, Simon Gavin seemed stupidly ungrateful to get you when you won...

Please don't stop with the group and music, we will sincerely miss you if you do!

Thanks for the update Ali,
I thought it might go that way with A&M. But good luck with everything anyway,
I'll come to a gig if you play again near here soon, unfortunately can't go tomorrow.
