Nikolaus had followed to the plains. He looked around at the vastness around him. He shuddered. How he hated such nothingness. But, he had to admit, the sky was amazingly beautiful here. The stars, over all, marveled Nikolaus to no end. To lose the sun when he was turned was a painful thing. The warm light that had bathed him in his younger years was long gone. But he had the stars. He had them all to himself. Maybe others could see them. Maybe others shared his thoughts on their beauty. But they were his. Their light, their radiance, their numbers without couunt... those accompanied him for eternity.
He sighed, and pulled his mind back into the business at hand. So, here were the plains. But the shifter? Just where would he and the elf find that sneaky -
Nikolaus smiled as he sense the familiar thrill before the kill. "It seems our furry friend has found something she'd like to bite.", he said, breaking into a laugh afterwards. "That's the only thing I like of those creatures. Their desire to butcher rivals even that of vampires!" he added.
He moved quietly, avoiding any possible noises. He wandered towards that feeling, that familiar feeling he was beginning to share.
Damn the bloodlust.
