She moved through the fields, darting in and out of the grass, fireflies sparking around her in offense to her disruption. She sniffed the air with a greedy hue in her fox-like eyes, she smelled the sweet flesh of mortals sleeping for the night. Running with blurred speed she growled with anger- the two immortals were behind her and their intentions weren't pleasent ones.

I have to be quick, for they come, she thought, licking her chops as she began to stalk a lone child catching fireflies outside his home. She had to do things faster than planned, which annoyed her for she disliked being rushed, but it was a sacrifice she had to make if she wanted to do the things she planned tonight. Shaking her fur, she shifted uncomfortably- Alene, or rather, Damon loathed being hunted. He’d been too familiar with being chased. And the two troublesome creatures that came after her were like burs that he couldn't remove.

Eyes gleaming, she came closer to the little boy. She could almost taste the fear. The adrenaline rushing through her veins as she fought against time and the thrill of slaughtering purity gave her chills of pleasure down her spine. Such a beautiful night where chaos would soon wreak.

ooc: sorry if this is too... eh, simple. My head simply refuses to come up with something.

Nikolaus had followed to the plains. He looked around at the vastness around him. He shuddered. How he hated such nothingness. But, he had to admit, the sky was amazingly beautiful here. The stars, over all, marveled Nikolaus to no end. To lose the sun when he was turned was a painful thing. The warm light that had bathed him in his younger years was long gone. But he had the stars. He had them all to himself. Maybe others could see them. Maybe others shared his thoughts on their beauty. But they were his. Their light, their radiance, their numbers without couunt... those accompanied him for eternity.

He sighed, and pulled his mind back into the business at hand. So, here were the plains. But the shifter? Just where would he and the elf find that sneaky -

Nikolaus smiled as he sense the familiar thrill before the kill. "It seems our furry friend has found something she'd like to bite.", he said, breaking into a laugh afterwards. "That's the only thing I like of those creatures. Their desire to butcher rivals even that of vampires!" he added.

He moved quietly, avoiding any possible noises. He wandered towards that feeling, that familiar feeling he was beginning to share.

Damn the bloodlust.
