the admins of the board created everything from the ideas of the creators of the film hot fuzz. that includes the graphics, rules, plot, canons, template, sign-up forms, forum descriptions, and various information threads throughout the board. some of the icons in the canon list came from various livejournal sources. any character ideas are credited to their respective owners. the skin was created by lea of red carpet & rebellion. the sidebar is credited to roswenth of rpg directory.

CHARACTER TYPES
NEWARK POLICE SERVICE Every city, town, and village has its own police force and Newark is no different. Except for a slight few differences. While the officers in Newark have gone through the regulatory police training, the whole tight-knit community air of the village extends to the service. With only one exception, all of the members of the Newark Police Service are natives to the village. Having been raised in the village and used to the idea that they're home is immune to crime, their jobs consist mostly of rounding up the occasional runaway swan that's escaped from the castle or dealing with the occasional small scuffle, their eyes are completely blind to the 'accidents' that are going on about them. In the words of the Inspector: accidents happen every day.
CITIZENS OF NEWARK Yes, the citizens of Newark - the life-force of the village. Ranging in occupations, ages, and beliefs from eighteen to eighty: grocers to the elderly, they are the ones who go about their ideal little lives without a care in the world. Almost everyone is a native to the village, although some have moved from less hectic lifestyles to the place that has won village of the year more times than anyone is able to count. In the picture-perfect environment though, there are the rotten apples. Does it matter though that said rotten apples tend to have tragic accidents? Hardly. In the eyes of some, it's better that way.
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH ALLIANCE Think a mix of your typical neighborhood watch that's concerned with the well-being of the village citizens with a secret society whose sole concern is the 'greater good' of the village that they love so much. These individuals are people who embody everything that Newark stands for and would do anything to protect it. Middle-aged individuals, the youngest of which are in their 30's, who have been approached by the long-standing members of the village to help protect the 'greater good'. With weekly scheduled regular meetings and informal clandestine meetings clad in black cloaks at the castle, they deal with whatever problems might be facing the village. All for the greater good of course.
