THE HANGING MAN. The hanging man is an old wizarding bar in Paris. It's well disguised as old ruins to muggles, but when wizards appear across with without muggle company or in the eyes of a muggle, it turns into a wizarding bar, complete with rooms on the top for overnight stays. Similar to The Leaky Cauldron, but in Paris and slightly cleaner. This place is run by a man named Griff, no ones ever seen him, but they can hear him screaming and yelling at staff members behind the scenes.

APOTHECARY. The Apothecary sells potions and potion ingredients. The shop is "fascinating" despite its very bad smell — a mixture of bad eggs and rotten cabbage. The inside includes barrels of slimy stuff on the floor; jars of herbs, dried roots and bright powders on the shelves; and bundles of feathers, strings of fangs and snarled claws hanging from the ceiling. Some of the ingredients available are silver unicorn horns (for twenty-one Galleons each) and glittery-black beetle eyes (five Knuts a scoop.)

LA TASSE DE CAFÉ. LA TASSE DE CAFÉ is french for The Coffee Cup. The coffee cup is a muggle coffee house which not many wizards know about. Though, if a wizard is planning on doing business with a muggle, or is meeting up with one, or is looking for a good hiding spot, this is the place for you. It's stone floors and clean tables that sit outside and inside are all made of the same metal, and it kind of reminds people of Starbucks.

ACADEMIE DE MAGIE BEAUXBATONS. Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is a magic school where Hogwarts students have had to move to, due to the recent over throw of the Brittish Ministry of Magic. All students except those who are following the Dark Lords ways are being taught here. The Academy's building is called the Palace of Beauxbatons, and unlike Hogwarts Castle it does not contain suits of armour. Rather than a Great Hall as at Hogwarts, the Palace contains a Dining Chamber. Beauxbatons has a history that goes back at least 700 years, when it first began participating in the Triwizard Tournament. Beauxbatons also competes in the Triwizard Tournament. Beauxbatons students follow a strict system of protocol concerning their behaviour towards their professors, which is noticeably different from that at Hogwarts (e.g. standing when their headmistress enters the room). The school follows a different examination system as well: at Hogwarts, major board exams are taken in the fifth and seventh years, while Beauxbatons students sit for their exams in the sixth year. In these regards, Beauxbatons resembles customs at a typical French school. The Academy is housed in a glittering palace. The food is delicious. Students wear blue and grey silk uniforms. Rather than suits of armour, statues of ice that glitter like diamonds during the Christmas season flank the halls of Beauxbatons. The school is co-ed, so men and women alike are accepted. The scholastic system at the Academy is also arranged differently than that at Hogwarts; instead of sitting Ordinary Wizarding Levels or their equivalent at the end of five years, Academy students sit exams after six years. Beaux Baton means beautiful wand in French .

MAIN PALACE FOYER. Bright and beautiful. Pedestals of flowers throughout the entranceway. The ceiling is very high (goes to the top of the third floor) and littered with beautiful chandeliers. Very grand looking. There is a bridge that crosses from one side to the other (north to south) two floors above the entrance. The floor is tiled with marble (I keep thinking like the Kenneth Branagh version of Hamlet) and rich red carpeting up the middle, leading to all of the doors and staircases. Stairway going up, it leads up one floor (not directly above the foyer) to a section of classrooms on Second Floor A. Doors leading to a corridor towards the kitchens. Locked at all times, students not allowed. Doors leading to a corridor, leading north and the tower for L’Ombrelune. Leads to the dining hall, this staircase does not go up a full floor, only to a higher level. Staircase, leads up one floor (not directly above the foyer) to the first chunk of classrooms Second Floor B. These doors lead into a long corridor, towards the south and the tower for Bellefeuille.

THE DINING CHAMBER. The Palace of Beauxbatons contains a Dining Chamber, which is elaborately decorated at Christmas time but in a different style than that used at Hogwarts. Glass unmeltable statues float around the castle, and are standing in all corners in the Dining Chamber. The house colors are all the same, so everything is decorated in the powder blue and silver of the school. The tables which students sit at are, however, seperated by house. The staff also sit in the front on a large table. Make sure when the staff arrives to stand in respect.

These students are caring and sensitive to peoples needs around them. They are hard and efficient workers and are characteristically book smart. The students sorted into this house think the necessities of life are what is important they prize family and friends above all else. Bellefeuille students often feel a strong connection with nature, are caring and kind to animals and respect all aspects of flora and fauna. They often have a good and quick perception of the emotions around them, know how to act accordingly in most situations. Bellefeuille students are realists through and through. May it be that they are not the smartest, they surely get their work done. They are very cool and calculating students who are very adverse to irrationality and prize people for making well thought-out and logical decisions. Ombrelune students are cold, rarely display emotion openly unless they see some direct gain in doing so. They are in the most ambitious of the Beauxbatons houses. They are very smart, logical and structured. They are very curious interested int he world and the intricate way it works in. Ombrelune students often strive for power and perfection more than anything else.

Those sorted into this house value the humanist approach through to the world, they don't learn to gather knowledge but learn to become a better person. They are introvert focussed on their own internal state. Papillonlisse students are often very emotional, bring strong feelings and strong dedication into their work.

THIRD FLOOR. The entrance to the library is located on this floor; the hallway leading to the doors of the library is the same as that of the Second Floors and the Third floors. Once entering the library the floors are no longer tiled but are hard wood. There are bookshelves that are arranged in an orderly fashion, some that reach the ceiling. There are large mahogany ladders with wheels and brass rungs to use for getting books. There are two spiral staircases that lead to the next floor of the library, both lead to different sections (each section can only be accessed by one of the staircases). There are mainly reference books on this floor, dictionaries and the circulation desk as well as the librarian, who is there to answer any questions a student may have. This is the only floor where the students can access the restricted books of the school, which are very few but all very dangerous. The student must go directly to the librarian to request these books and have a signed permission slip from a professor for access. The students are not allowed to look in the restricted section, only to discuss what type of book they need and request assistance from the librarian or a professor. This floor holds a spiral staircase going up within the library a spiral staircase going up within the library, doorway (no doors leads to a bridge that goes over the main palace foyer) a doorway going in to the library (the entrance) and a staircase going down Doorway going out of the library (the exit).

THE BURROW. The Weasleys' odl home, known as The Burrow, is located outside the village of Ottery St. Catchpole, also near the home of the Lovegoods, the Diggorys and the Fawcetts. The Burrow was used as the Order of the Phoenix's headquarters until it lost its given protection. The Weasley house has seven floors. It is also quite dilapidated, managing to remain standing only by magic. Despite the house's rundown appearance, it's got personality. The well-hidden orchard nearby doubles as a Quidditch pitch when the Weasly kids were young. Real Quidditch balls cannot be used in case they escape and fly over the Muggle village. The Weasleys used to own an unusual (possibly unique) clock, a manifestation of Molly's anxiety about her family's well-being. Instead of telling time, each hand had the name of a Weasley written on it and points to a term indicating their whereabouts. A multitude of garden gnomes infests the garden of The Burrow.

GODRIC'S HOLLOW. Godric's Hollow is located in the West Country of England. With Hogsmeade established as the only remaining all-magical community in Great Britain, Godric's Hollow has a Muggle population. The village was the residence and final hiding place of James and Lily Potter prior to being murdered by Lord Voldemort on 31 October 1981. It was at this same time that their son, Harry, was left with his lightning bolt-shaped scar. Godric's Hollow was the home of James Potter's family, and the home of long-dead Hogwarts founder Godric Gryffindor (after whom the village was named). At the centre of the village square of Godric's Hollow, is a war memorial which magically transforms into a monument to the Potter family – James, Lily, and Harry – when approached by witches and/or wizards unaccompanied by Muggles.

LITTLE HANGLETON. Little Hangleton is a Muggle village of some significance. It is notable as the place of origin of Voldemort's maternal and paternal ancestors, and as the place where he was restored to bodily form. The village occupies the floor of a valley, bounded by steep hills, not far from a larger settlement called Great Hangleton. Above the village on one side of the valley are a Church and cemetery, and higher still, the imposing Riddle House, the home of the deceased aristocratic Riddle family who were the chief landowners in the area. On the opposite side of the valley, the only dwelling appears to have been the dilapidated cottage which was the home of the Pure-blooded, anti-social descendants of Salazar Slytherin, the Gaunt family. The Gaunt cottage is set in a copse alongside a winding road which climbed out of the valley.

LITTLE WHINGING. Little Whinging, in Surrey, England, is a town to the south of London. This town is a bland, stereotypical satellite town in the London commuter belt, in order to contrast it with the unique and spectacular wizarding world. Number Four Privet Drive, Little Whinging, was home to the Dursleys and younge Potter. He lived there since the age of fifteen months, having previously lived with his parents in Godric's Hollow. However, since beginning at Hogwarts, he spent little time here, returning only during the summer holidays. Mrs. Figg, who lives two streets away from 4 Privet drive knows of Harry's magic as she is a Squib member of the Order of the Phoenix, who was placed in Little Whinging by Albus Dumbledore to keep an eye on Harry.

MALFOY MANOR. Malfoy Manor is a handsome manor house. The manor, located in the southern English county of Wiltshire, is the home of the aristocratic Malfoy family: Lucius, Narcissa, and Draco Malfoy, and later Bellatrix Lestrange (sister of Narcissa). They were previously served by the house-elf Dobby, before Lucius was tricked into freeing him by Harry Potter. From a lane, leads off a driveway which ends at a magical wrought-iron gate which contorts into a face to ask for the purpose of visitation. Beyond continues the high, neatly trimmed yew hedge from the lane past. There in the grounds is a water fountain and roaming elegant albino peacocks. At the end of the driveway is the entrance to the manor whose diamond-panned windows glint in the light after hours. Past the main door is a large, sumptuously decorated, dimly lit hallway whose stone floor and walls are decorated with a magnificent carpet and pale-faced portraits, respectively. One door leads to the drawing room decorated with fine furniture and a handsome marble mantelpiece surmounted by a gilded mirror.

NUMBER TWELVE, GRIMMUALD PLACE. Number 12, Grimmauld Place, London is the address and name of reference to the home of the Black family, an ancient and pure-blooded line of wizards. It "Grimmauld Place" is a pun on "grim, old place", and possibly "Grim's old place" as well, referring to the fact that Sirius Black was thought in to be the Grim, a black dog omen. Grimoald was also a personal name. The structure of Number 12, Grimmauld Place is a Georgian terraced house. umber 12 houses the Black family tree on a wall tapestry, and an enchanted portrait of Walburga Black, Sirius' mother. An ancient and deeply mad house-elf named Kreacher is loyal to the portrait of Mrs.Black. There are other portraits of members of the Black family, including Phineas Nigellus Black, one-time Head of the Black family and least-popular Headmaster of Hogwarts. The staircase is lined with the heads of beheaded former house-elves, which are mounted onto the walls. Many security measures were in place at Grimmauld Place: there are anti-Apparation charms; it is Unplottable; it is disguised from Muggles and other interlopers. The neighbours had long ago come to terms with the fact that the houses on their street went straight from 11 to 13. It is as secure as any magical dwelling can be and can accommodate a large number of people. For this reason, it was chosen as the headquarters of the reconstituted Order of the Phoenix when Sirius offered it to the Order. Only magical persons can see it, and only if told the location by the Secret Keeper himself. Because Sirius was incarcerated in Azkaban, the house fell into disrepair over the next several years. When he later returned to his family home in 1995, it was a gloomy and unpleasant dwelling teeming with dust, decay and various dangers.

SPINNERS END. Spinner's End is a Muggle street, on which sits a house that is the summer home of Severus Snape. It is described as one of several streets of identical brick. The street is located near a dirty river, the bank of which is strewn with litter. A mill with a tall chimney is close by. Snape's front door opens directly into a sitting room that has the feeling of a dark, padded cell, containing walls filled with books, threadbare furniture, and a dim, candle-filled lamp that hangs from the ceiling. A hidden door leads to a narrow staircase. Snape lived at Spinner's End as a young child and that Lily and Petunia Evans lived in the same town.
