Kit . . . . Kits are newborn cats (basically a kitten in our language) in the Clan. Although greatly appreciated for the bright burst of hope they bring upon the Clan, kits aren't very resourceful and usually just cause trouble among their Clanmates. When born, their mother names them either immediately, or a few days after their birth, with a special beginning and then the ending suffix '-kit'.
- Apprentice . . . . When kits turn their sixth moon, they are able to become an apprentice. During their ceremony they receive their new name, which will be the same prefix and then the suffix '-paw', and their mentor as well. Apprentices have many chores they need to do, such as clean elders beddings, hunt for the elders, and train with their mentors.
- Warrior . . . . When apprentices turn their twelfth moon, they are able to become warriors. They gain an ending name, which the leader chooses, and have to sit vigil that night. At this age they are able to roam more freely, without the constant guidance of their mentor, and are able to mentor young cats of their own. Duties consist of hunting, patrolling, and taking care of the camp.
- Queen . . . . If a female warrior becomes pregnant with kits, they become a queen and sleep in the nursery, their duty as a warrior dismissed. For quite a few moons they have to do this, utterly helpless at times, until their kits are of the age.
- Elder . . . . If a warrior has become to old, or has some ill sense upon them (being blind is a common one) then they often become an elder (if they've survived the treacherous life of a warrior). Sleeping in the elders den, they often tell stories to the young kits or apprentices, and take life nice and easy. Often times their name gets changed upon their appearance, or a past event in their life.
-Medicine Cat Apprentice . . . . A medicine cat apprentice is a chosen cat, often chosen by StarClan or the medicine cat them self, to learn the ways of a healing, honest cat. Closer to StarClan then any, they only learn a bit about hunting and fighting, but mainly different herbs and remedies. As all apprentices they have to wait six moons to deem the ending '-paw', but their training can vary because of the life of the current medicine cat, or how long they wish to be a medicine cat.
-Medicine Cat . . . . A medicine cat is the almighty healer of the Clan, graced by StarClan's presence. Often presented dreams or signs, they are able to surface the meaning, though in the beginning it takes time. Granting them a close connection to their ancestors, these cats are very close to StarClan, and experts at herbs. Although they do not have to sit vigil, when a medicine cat apprentice goes to become a medicine cat, they must have their ceremony their, and their mentor will choose the ending of their name (if this is not possible, then another medicine cat will).
- Deputy . . . . Chosen by the leader, a deputy is a warrior who has gained the privilege of being a higher ranked cat, and is ahead of patrols, guarding the camp, and training assessments. Perhaps a future leader, deputies must show as much wisdom as possible, and be as brave to.
- Leader . . . . After the current leader has died or been exiled, the deputy gains his place. Receiving the suffix '-star', leaders are given nine lives by their ancestors and often times a prophecy of the future. Although they are head of the Clan, and take charge of most, they have a good connection with their past ancestors, but nothing extraordinary.
