Did Godot/Diego Live or Die?, Spoilers for GS3 BEWARE!

Ok. So everyone loves Godot. But it's been quite a debate between fans whether he died or lived after Trials and Tribulations. Some want him to appear in GS5 or something. But I would rather him die.

It's not that I'm giving Diego the death wish here. He is one of my favourite characters! But after all that had happened in his life, knowing about his poor health condition, and knowing that he was finally able to forgive himself for everything he did and stop believing in that Mia's death was his fault, wouldn't you think the same? The only reason why Diego was able to live on and battle Wright was because he had machinery and medication at his side. Without any of that, he probably would have died before we even got the chance to meet him. He was so devestated with Mia's death that he gave up everything that he once held close (with the exception of coffee, of course), and even took the career that he probably never thought he would ever choose; a Prosecutor. He even let go of his own identity, Diego Armando, and took on a new "life"; Godot. So in a sense, the Diego Armando we met in 3-4 was already long gone. Godot on the other hand, seems like a dead man walking, someone who was born from regret, sadness, and hatred, and lived to put all of that into the world. But he was saved, and that's what matters.

What really confused us, however, was that credits picture. With the people who are still alive at the bottom, and the dead people (Misty, Mia, Godot) at the top. This could mean two things; a)Godot/Diego died soon after the events of T&T or b)The whole "Godot" persona died, but Diego Armando, the real person, lived on forever. Since it's not really clear what one is the true answer, I can't say which one is wright. But, until we get some sort of AJ squeal or official answer, no one will ever know.

I would have rather him die for one reason and one reason only; so him and Mia can finally be together again, but this time, forever. They've both been through so much, not just in their relationship, but in their whole lives. The only thing we can possibly give the two of them is each other. Diego's soul was finally able to find peace, and Mia told Phoenix that he saved him in the only way anyone could. So that is what I stand by. And I always will.

Sorry for the huge rant XD. What do you guys think? Do you think that he lived or died?

I lean towards the "he died" side of the argument. At least, I don't believe he lived to see Apollo Justice's day. He may have lived a couple years more, but due to his awful health, I doubt he lived much farther, much less 7 years.

What's this 'credits' picture?

At the end of the credits, there's a sketch that Larry drew of everyone. On the bottom screen is Phoenix and co., and on the top screen is Godot, Mia, and Misty. Due to Mia and Misty being dead, this caused people to think Godot himself died after the end of T&T.

I believe Godot died a few years before AJ due to poor health.

Ooh right. It's been a while since I've played it! I think I've always just believed he did die.

Never cared for Godot to be honest. Probably because of all the hype.

This is exactly what I think, even though we may never get any sort of confirmation (I think they left it kind of open so every fan could have their own interpretation).

I don't know that he was in that poor of health. I mean, he managed to hang out on Eagle Mountain just fine, with a face wound and no food (outside a thermos of coffee), then prosecute the next couple days no worries. He's not the pinnacle of health (especially with all that coffee he drinks) but he hardly struck me as a man on his death bed.

Well, he was poisoned and in a coma for, what was it, 5 years? And with all of that coffee he drinks, he's still got pearly white teeth! I wish my teeth had superpowers like that. But in all seriousness, I do remember him saying something along the lines of "I don't wear this visor for show" and he talked about his poor health. I can't remember what case though

I think he died not long after the case ended, for the reasons you stated above (poor health, no motivation to live etc). Yes, it's sad, but at least he's with Mia.

However, I have a crack theory of him escaping the police and then opening a cafe in Italy. Why? Because he probably can.

I think he mentions his poor health in both 3-3 and 3-5. Either way, he's definitely not in good shape. He kind of struck me as a person in constant pain who doesn't show it.

He was hanged as he murdered someone, obviously.

I liked godot's theme, that's about it, I didn't like his attire, personality, etc.. wasn't a good enough prosecutor, after edgey and manfred, all the prosecutors have been a disappointment.

I miss von karma They should have maya's son channel him in a 20 year leap game, to be the new prosecutor.

If he wasn't executed for killing someone, then he probably died of poor health a couple years before AJ. And if he didn't, he'd still be in jail/prison, unless he somehow escaped, for some unknown reason.

Why would Maya have a son? Ever?

Anyway, I think Godot lived. He had a perfectly good reason to kill, so I don't think he was executed, and his determination probably kept him going.
