Since, the Professor Layton series will have a crossover with Ace Attorney, there should be a thread specifically about this game...

What do you guys think about the newest Layton game? Mask of Miracle?

Mask of Miracle? Seems interesting. Not too hot about the 3D models, but they will probably grow on me.

I've been avoiding info on it due to the fact that the fourth game isn't out yet in English. Does anyone know when that'll be? It's been out for a very long time in Japan.

Unfortunately, either if the 4th and 5th games have been released here. I wish I could have seen those games though...

But I still enjoyed it, the puzzles and the plot. Probably one of the best there is

I'm looking forward to Specter's Flute. Like, a lot. Love the new cast. I doubt Clamp Grosky will ever replace Chelmey & Barton though. That duo is unforgettable.

I know, right? I actually cried when Claire had to leave. Poor Layton..... And then Luke cried, and I found the Youtube video that was completely wrong yet so funny I had to laugh.

I've been in a particularly curious mood lately, one that only Layton puzzles can satiate. I've been torn on whether, or not, I should replay one of the games. The catch? I wanted to play The Mask of Miracle, but I have not the funds to import it for at least a month. I have priorities in poorness, after all.

I could pirate it easily, but I'm afraid I do not use my flashcart for products I intend to own. No sense of honor about it really, I simply feel that if I would pirate it, it falls even lower on my possible priorities to own it. Which I would quite like to do. I own the rest of the series in EN and JP versions and the silly collector in me feels I must continue on.

I suppose I could replay Specter's Flute. Has anyone here played it? I was actually fond of it. I found that, in ways, it was more satisfying than Last Time Travel (a title that to this day still makes me giddy, as if they had Time Traveled before this and decided they would put an immediate end to their space-time shenanigans).

well I've only played the first 3 games... I wanted to play the 4th though.

But I'm more interested in the Mask of Miracle's storyline...

Mask of Miracle proves to be the more interesting entry.

The Specter's Flute was, in ways, a way of re-establishing the principle characters. Just as the first three games were their own chronology and, in ways, series, so is Specter's Flute onwards.

Thus, it feels a bit more like "the first" game at times, an origin story compared to a new Layton title. But it was done so in a way I was a bit fond of. It was cute. But Mask of Miracle seems like it'll be where things get "ramped up", so to speak.

The Mask of Miracles...... That game looks amazing....

Also, how 'bout that Professor Layton movie? XD
