Title: New rule regarding forum names
Description: please read

Croik - July 19, 2006 02:55 AM (GMT)
Because several people have asked about this by now, I figured I might as well make it an official rule for the forum.

If someone on the forum has a screen name that you want, I'm sorry, but I will not delete an existing member's account so you can have it. Not for RPing, not for posting, and no matter how active/inactive that person is on the forum.

Please don't ask me to delete someone else's account, because I won't.

(Well, unless the person misbehaves and gets banned for some legitimate reason, then you can have the account).

If someone has a name you want, what you can do is PM him/her and ask them to give up the account voluntarily. But remember that just because someone doesn't post, it doesn't mean they don't follow the forum. We do have lurkers, after all :P

So be civil about it, okay? <3

kirbythechef - July 19, 2006 03:20 AM (GMT)
I want the name Croik. The current account should be deleted and I should have the name.

*runs*

luckyhitmaster - July 19, 2006 03:55 AM (GMT)
Are people really so selfish that they'd ask you to delete someone else's account? Whoever has the nerve to ask something like that in the first place should be kicked off (that's only my opinion; I've noticed by now that you try to make everyone on here stay friendly and get along though, which is good).

Blademaster_Orca - July 19, 2006 04:02 AM (GMT)
That's sort-of rediculous. I mean, wanting a name someone else has is understandable, but to get flustered over it is too much.

It's not a big deal, I'm just tired of people asking :P

Bolt Storm - July 20, 2006 02:07 AM (GMT)
Cripes, I've never heard of a problem like this before. I can't believe someone would actually try to do this.

undeadrhapsody - July 20, 2006 11:24 AM (GMT)
Shows how desperate people are. Anyway, here are some alternate names for Mia Fey:

The Feyster
Psi Ghost
Sprit Lawyer
Double D Attorney

Dee Vasquez - July 20, 2006 01:13 PM (GMT)
Oh No! :( This is worse than the time I drank a martini that had a Tums dissolved in it!

Oh....I am so sad now.

:testimony: If I was you I would delete the user who requested this or whatever A.S.A.P.!

BxFitzgerald - July 20, 2006 03:06 PM (GMT)
Wow. o.o That's a little out of hand. Deleting an account all for a name?? O.o

Phoenix Wright - July 21, 2006 06:23 AM (GMT)
I hope nobody wants my name.

There is another Phoenix Wright here but with two spaces (I think)

Like this:

Phoenix Wright

ANYWAYS......Why doesn't the person just edit the name? Like putting numbers or something.....

*mumbles to herself*

I haven't seen any Mayas I thought she woyld be a popular character!

Igiari_Bren - July 21, 2006 06:35 PM (GMT)
Ohnoes, because so many people want the name Igiari_Bren.

XD

Seriously, who isn't creative enough to come up with their own account name they have to resort to THAT?

Lover Of Gumshoe - July 22, 2006 06:15 PM (GMT)
And because Lover of Gumshoe is such a creative name. I mean my gosh.

pheokirby - July 22, 2006 06:18 PM (GMT)
It is.... but I easily could of done Lover of Kirby/LoK-Kun!

Hey what does Kun mean?

Katon - July 23, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
Wouldn't you be LoK-Chan?

-Kun is an ending for young maley peoples. I believe. Something of that nature.

...I'm not a super Weeaboo, sorry. T___T

PhantomGamer - July 23, 2006 04:14 AM (GMT)
And PhantomGamer, it has nothing to do with PW, so why would anybody but me want it? [strike]At least it's not OPSAVEDANNY like on just about every other forum... :D[/strike]

Mia oh Maya! - July 23, 2006 04:28 AM (GMT)
I doubt anyone would try to join with this name. XD;

Yea, Kun is for boys who are your friends pretty much

...Just because you know that doesn't make you a weeaboo.

pheokirby - July 23, 2006 11:07 AM (GMT)
Sorry I'm not very good at these things.....

LoK-chan looks a bit weird though.

LoK-chan.....LoK-chan.....

BxFitzgerald - July 24, 2006 09:25 PM (GMT)
Heh. Only a Rabid Ginger Snaps fanatic would want my name....But the boards are about PW, and most people like Ginger, not Brigitte, so I'm safe. XD

I think LoK-chan looks fine, personally..

chief_skye4444 - August 2, 2006 03:38 PM (GMT)
I have a question. Is the moderator "Lana" the same as Prosecutor_Skye on live journal? Just wondering.

Croik - August 4, 2006 11:58 PM (GMT)
Why yes, Chief Skye, yes it is!

chief_skye4444 - August 5, 2006 03:58 PM (GMT)
I knew it! Thanks, Croik.

investigator_ema - August 8, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
Just sayin Hi!

Blakos_ Kyros - August 11, 2006 01:11 PM (GMT)
The only thing that I may want is for either the space or underscore in my name to asplode.
But seriously, who would be mean enough to want somebody else's username?

Well apparently someone/some people did if there had to be a rule made about it.

As the old saying goes, the reason cups of coffee have to say 'Caution: Hot' on them is because someone didn't grasp the concept of Hot Coffee.

RadioShadow - September 5, 2006 12:49 PM (GMT)
What they could do is just think of a username that noone will ever use.

I seen no form that has ever used RadioShadow. :godot:

Or they could at an extra letter/number to the end e.g. Ema Sky1 :miles:

I'm abusing the smiles aren't I. :franziska: There too good not to use.

JackAttack - September 5, 2006 01:11 PM (GMT)
Yeah, every site I enter I use jackAttack, but I don't lose my head over it if its unavailable. :gumshoe: If I can't use JackAttack, I just use JackAttackFC (FC is short for Friend Codes) because I have an account in friendcodes.com (Nintendo DS WiFi Community!)
Sorry for advertizing, it's just so I can explain my name. :godot:

Attorney Hatman - September 5, 2006 10:29 PM (GMT)
All I know is that, for this guy, they could have had something like : Samuel Beckett. :godot:

vectorman06 - September 11, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
Wow! I didnt even know people wanted you to delete other member's account names.

P.S. By the way, my old account name was either Kamen Avenger or Kamen Detective(I think).

Gumshoe - September 11, 2006 12:48 AM (GMT)
*shrug* not really a problem for me. I was here early enough that I got the name I wanted....

Igiari_Bren - September 11, 2006 02:00 AM (GMT)
It's kind of funny to imagine what one would PM to get a certain user deleted.

"Dear Croik,

Can you please delete Igiari_Bren's account? He doesn't use it much, and I really, really want his name.

THANKS!"

XD

Croik - September 11, 2006 04:14 AM (GMT)
Actually, Bren, that's pretty much...exactly what got PM'd to me. Except it wasn't you the person was after :karma:

Prosecutor Edgeworth - September 11, 2006 08:53 PM (GMT)
If someone doesn't read this, they're probably going to be asking for my name, or similar

XP I didn't expect it to be.

Nobody would ever want "Igiari_Bren" except me.

XD I bet they were asking for Phoenix Wright, amiright? Or one of the other main characters?

Gumshoe - September 12, 2006 02:07 AM (GMT)
might've been asking for me....*Shrug*

DSL-69 - September 12, 2006 02:42 AM (GMT)
Sigh... it's rather obvious that they were asking for the username [you]. That name kicks ass!
