The staff welcomes you.

OK, seeing how the cursed threads those few days have spawned fail to die because people NEED and want a thread to ramble about stuff that fits nowhere else on this small forum, I decided that we deseperately need this!!

Rules:

1.) No spamming. Your post has to be of interest to someone.

2.) Nobody talks about You-Know-What-Topic regarding You-Know-What-Incident

3.) If a mod comes and tells us that this Thread is a No-No, we let it die. END OF STORY.

So, and now let the thread-corpses rot down there and have fun here!! :larry:

Starting this off:

Now, who's with me regarding CR being one of the best fancommunities in the world?
It's near Peeerrrr~fect! :franziska:

kylechu - December 22, 2010 12:31 PM (GMT)
Also, feel free to continue any discussions about beverages and 4kids dubbing that were started in other topics. :P

And I'm curious, how does activity here compare to the activity-level of the normal court records? Are most of the members on here too?

Also, what do the exclamation marks mean under your avatar? I've been wondering for a while.

I wouldn't call it the best, there are too many idiots. It's ok though.

There's idiots everywhere, but the Idiot:Cool People ratio here is reasonably better than in most other Forums I've been yet. I think it's pretty awesome when even the resident troll is actually a nice person.

JPTorres26 - December 22, 2010 12:35 PM (GMT)
Yeah! Finally you managed to make the off-topics thread!

Well, I'm with you on CR being the best fancommunity out there! No one has the level of acceptance CR has (sorry if I didn't quote kylechu there) and of course, we've experienced two downs partly because there's just too many fans here!

Oh, and one question, did your off topic come from our earlier discussions? :miles:

If you're talking about my reason for opening this, yes, those discussions partly inspired me to make this thread. The other reason was that posting in those other threads made me feel like eating picknick on a graveyard or abandoned battlefield... :gumshoe:

Eh... let's agree to disagree XD

In my experience, even the Saw forums are nicer than CR.

Luckily for me though, none of CR's twats are posting on this backup forum.

Dypo - December 22, 2010 01:25 PM (GMT)
Hm... Actually, I think C-R as a whole is just second to AAO. Don't kill me~! :sweatdrop:

But this emergency forum has a much more characteristic feel to it, which gives it a plus. Also, there are forum games here. :larry:
We should make a Forum Games board on the actual C-R too, and a General Chatting board. ;D

Zinle-Reborn - December 22, 2010 01:30 PM (GMT)
As AA forum, CR wins.
Not been in AAO, so don't know which one is better,
but with these standards CR wins.

overally it's in second place though.
Only 'cause nothing beats our anime community in fin.
(by us I meant me and lot fins. Craaaaaaaaaaaazy people.)

General Tommy - December 22, 2010 01:43 PM (GMT)
Continuing the discussion about 4kids...

I don't usually watch anime, notably the Japanese versions. There's been about one Japanese version of an anime that I've watched: Bleach. And I haven't caught up to it yet. Though that is dubbed by Funimation, so I have higher hopes for that than if 4kids got it.

Oh, and yes, I did watch the dubbed version of One Piece. I don't exactly remember too many details of it, or watched too many episodes, because that came out here in the US around when I stopped caring for 4kids. From what I've heard and what I remember, it was horribad.

Feel free to watch these videos to understand why 4kids is bad at dubbing.

On the topic of this community, it's rather nice, though I go on forums that tend to have good communities in the first place.

henke37 - December 22, 2010 01:52 PM (GMT)
I like AAO for the fact that people actually seem to care about trials people make. The Games forum here on CR is quite slow in comparison.

That's true.

And this also goes for the art section, unfortunately. Still, I have faith it'll get better eventually...

Marche - December 22, 2010 02:01 PM (GMT)
Silly as this may sound, I can't imagine a life without CR. Not only have I met lots of wonderful friends here, but it's also one of the few forums that I feel like I'm a part of. Even if it's not the friendliest fan community out there, it's still important to me.

Now let's drink tea together.

Yeah, cause almost everyone there makes fan trials which the rest plays.....compared to here, where people need other programs to make fan games and as I remember it, ROTP was an idea thought great by everyone that they don't seem to care about the very slow progress it brought.

It's ten in the evening here, and I need sleep so good night everyone and see you in the morning, or afternoon, or night wherever you may be.

2 days to go!

Croik doesn't allow forum games. A while before I joined there was a whole section dedicated to forum games and spam apparently.

I remember there been this inda section too.
Wasn't it closed 'cose it got just too spammy?
Kinda ironic though.

Neni - December 22, 2010 02:38 PM (GMT)
I think it's good that Forum games aren't allowed on the Main Forums. They tends to mutate into more than a mere passtime and leave the rest of the forums orphaned. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. :gumshoe: Plus, they tends to get incredibly filled by spam.

These things are spam-prone after all......

henke37 - December 22, 2010 02:58 PM (GMT)
The issue is needing a graphical script editor. Hopefully I can solve that issue once and for all by using a format that humans and computers alike understand, XML.

Coco - December 22, 2010 03:56 PM (GMT)
We should revive the RP and the fanworks threads around here while waiting. I was just starting to get into them, too... :gumshoe: After playing the AA games, I never thought about joining a forum. I lurked this forum for the fanart posted but I gave in eventually.

On a totally off-topic note, I came from a Darren Criss concert awhile ago. He's so talented and he sings like an angel. 8D

BuddyFaith - December 22, 2010 04:09 PM (GMT)
I wonder if they'll reopen the sprites thread.

I think they will. I love the sprites thread and would be crushed if they didn't, not to mention they're pretty popular.

shadowofedgeworth - December 22, 2010 07:40 PM (GMT)
I didn't think forum withdrawal would push me to register for this backup, yet here I am...

Well, since it's like a new beginning here (at least until the "real" forum is back up and running), I might as well start off the same way I began there: with a SHAMELESS PLUG!!! :gant laugh:

After months of inactivity, I have finally produced yet another random, pointless piece of drivel, made even more irrelevant by the question of whether we will ever, in fact, get a GS5. But there it is anyway.

Chloe - December 22, 2010 07:50 PM (GMT)
You can still post in the other sections around here, but you need to use the search button to find them because they're hidden.

Hey new member! Welcome! Oh, and why the sad first post?

Another thing, you might want to re-edit your sig to make it look like what you want it to.

AS far as this community goes, I think it's awesome. In fact, before the main forums [strike] shut down [/strike] went down for maintenance, I lurked for a long time and felt like a guy looking in on a sophisticated party of gentlemen. Now on these forums, I feel like it's just one big happy group of people.

This had a point when I started typing.

Cheers.

I think it's time to change the topic

Apart from Ace Attorney, what other games do you guys play during free time or whenever you feel like it?

General Tommy - December 23, 2010 01:46 AM (GMT)
...Man, I had completely forgotten just how random Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo really is. Over the past few days I've been re-watching that series (mostly to help myself out for comedy in the only trial we have going) and I've been laughing more than I ever have before.

Here, the first opening. It's the English dub, which is arguably funnier. If you want to see more, just PM me and I'll link you to a Youtube account with the English dub episodes.

I watched that all the time when I was younger, I was kinda disappointed when it went the air, I found it hilarious.

Same here man. I'm just glad that I found a Youtube channel that has the English dub episodes. Now I can return to laughing my ass off at the sheer stupidity of the entire series.

Being the rampant MGS fanboy I am, I've been playing quite a bit of MGSO on the PS3, but Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's multiplayer mode is slowly taking over my life...
