June 2009
1-2 Poor period for planting. Kill plant pests, clear fence rows, clear land.

3-5 Favorable for planting peas, beans, tomatoes, and other fall crops bearing above ground. Sow grains and forage crops. Plant flowers.

6-7 First day extra good for planting fall lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, collards and other leafy vegetables. All above ground crops planted now will do well. Second day favorable for planting beets, carrots, radishes, turnips,peanuts, and other root crops as well as other leafy vegetables. Both days good for planting seed beds.

8-9 Poor planting days. Cut hay or do general farm work.

10-12 Plant late beets, potatoes, onions, carrots and other root crops.

13-14 Poor days for planting. Kill plant pests, spray, fertilize, do general farm work.

15-16 Favorable time for planting late root crops. Also good for vine crops. Set strawberry plants.

17-18 Cut hay or do plowing on these barren days.

19-20 Good days for planting root crops.

21-22 Seeds planted now tend to rot in ground.

23-25 Plant tomatoes, beans, peppers, corn, cotton, and other aboveground crops on these most fruitful days. Plant seedbeds and flower gardens.

26-30 Poor period for planting. Kill plant pests, clear fence rows, clear land.

July 2009
1-2 FAVORABLE FOR PLANTING PEAS, BEANS, TOMATOES, AND OTHER FALL CROPS BEARING ABOVEGROUND. SOW GRAINS AND FORAGE CROPS. PLANT FLOWERS.

3-4 EXTRA GOOD FOR FALL CABBAGE, LETTUCE, CAULIFLOWER, MUSTARD GREENS, AND OTHER LEAFY VEGETABLES. GOOD FOR ANY ABOVEGROUND CROP THAT CAN BE PLANTED NOW. START SEEDBEDS.

5-7 SEEDS PLANTED NOW WILL DO POORLY AND YIELD LITTLE.

8-9 GOOD DAYS FOR PLANTING BEETS, CARROTS, SALSIFY, IRISH POTATOES, AND OTHER ROOT CROPS.

10-11 GOOD DAYS FOR KILLING WEEDS, BRIARS AND OTHER PLANT PESTS, POOR FOR PLANTING.

12-13 GOOD DAYS FOR PLANTING BEETS, CARROTS, RADISHES, SALSIFY, TURNIPS, PEANUTS, AND OTHER ROOT CROPS. ALSO GOOD FOR PLANTING MELONS, CUCUMBERS, PUMPKINS, AND OTHER VINE CROPS. SET STRAWBERRY PLANTS

14-15 A BARREN PERIOD.

16-17 ROOT CROPS THAT CAN BE PLANTED NOW WILL YIELD WELL.

18-20 POOR DAYS FOR PLANTING, SEEDS TEND TO ROT IN GROUND.

23-27 A MOST BARREN PERIOD. KILL PLANT PESTS AND DO GENERAL FARM WORK.

28-29 FAVORABLE FOR PLANTING PEAS, BEANS, TOMATOES, AND OTHER FALL CROPS BEARING ABOVEGROUND. SOW GRAINS AND FORAGE CROPS. PLANT FLOWERS.

30-31 EXTRA GOOD FOR FALL CABBAGE, LETTUCE, CAULIFLOWER, MUSTARD GREENS, AND OTHER LEAFY VEGETABLES. GOOD FOR ANY ABOVEGROUND CROP THAT CAN BE PLANTED NOW. START SEEDBEDS.
