I just joined, so I'll introduce myself. I'm DragonLady (or well, here I guess I'm Dragon_Lady), owner of Stitcher's Guild sewing forums.
I registered because lately I've become interested in dolls and dollmaking, and costuming for dolls. I've only made two dolls now in my whole life, and neither one is wearing a costume, but...I figure everyone starts somewhere? Anyway, I think I'm interested in fantasy/sci-fi type stuff, mostly, as the dolls that I'm most attracted to are art dolls and representations of Gods, Goddesses, and creatures of myth and magic. :) Most of the ones I've loved are humanoid, so I figure clothing and costume construction shouldn't be much different for them than it is for people, although that perception might change with practise and experience. I hope none of you mind if I do more lurking than posting; as I get really busy with my own site and often don't have as much time to read and learn as I'd like. |
