So, I'm finally going to be buying a serger, but I thought I would get some opinions on brand names or models that others have used and liked. Some place to begin in my search.

Alloz there Zammie!! <3

I've worked with a few sergers at this point. I think so far my favorite (and will reccomend) is the Singer though I'm not too sure which model it is ^_^();;

Singer an Pfaff are both good brands. I have one of each, though the Singer is a bit more durable, they both open up a bit more to make threading the machine a lot easier. I'd stay away from WalMart brands, though I'm sure you know that XD.

I'd say the best option would be to get up to the Creative Sewing Festivle in the spring. They have most of their models on the floor so you can give them a test run, and they have really nice sales!

I've had a Husqvarna for a year or two now and it's pretty great. The best thing to do is to visit stores and ask for a demo and if you can play.

One thing I wish I had paid out more for is the cover stitch capability. It would have been worth it, but I was feeling frugal at the time and this machine was on sale :)
