Welcome to costuming.org forums. As wit other forums, there is rules to be followed.

1) No flamming or trolling
Flaming is constantly insulting a forum member in posts or PMs and trolling is a form of provocation. A warn point will be gaved to those who are flamming or trolling.

2) No swearing
There will be minors on the forums so please, do not swear on the forums. Also,do not avoid the swear filter. A warn point will be the punishement for those are bypassing the swear filter. Minor swear words like,damn and crap are fine

3) Constructive comments only
Please make only constructive comments as being insulted is really bad. A lot of people try very hard at making their costumes, but at times will often ask for help in the process. A good example is to give tips on how you can improve someone work instead of just insulting. Keep in mind; don’t say things you wouldn’t want said about your own works.

4) NO DRAMA
This is an extremely important rule to follow. We will not tolerate this here. Some people enjoy making costumes themselves while other’s will order from other people, but with this people said, posting drama about how you dislike someone’s work will not be tolerated, again, relating to rule number 3 we will use constructive criticism only here, no drama about anyone’s works or why you do not like the other person’s works. Posting or starting drama here will
resault in immediate banning.

5) No porn of all kinds
This is a g-rated community so there will be minors here. Posting porn of any kind will resault in a instant Probation
followed by banning for a 2nd offense.

6) Signatures and avatars
Avatar limit is set to 120x120. Also,pics in signatures are allowed but you can only have one pic in your signature and the pic most be no longer then 550x100. The following actions will be taken for those who arent respecting the limits.
A moderator will warn the user by PM about the avatar/signature pic and will ask the user to change it for the first offense. An Administrator or Global Moderator will simply remove the avatar/signature pic and give a warn point for the 2nd offense and each sucessive offenses afterwards.

7) Banned sites URLs (Will be updated as the staff found more offending URLs)
Exemples of links of sites that are not permited
--a) Any sites that use the concept of 4chan.org
--b) Costuming elitism sites (Exemple: Cosfu.net)
--c) Anything that the staff consider as offensive
8) No Spoilers
Not everyone have finished watching a show,movie or beated a game. When posting something that might reveal the end of a show,movie/game,etc Make sure that you say that there is spoilers in your thread. Failure to do so will resault in a warn level increase. Major spoilers however may lead straight to a Probation or to Banning

9) One account only

Only one account per user is permited. If you are caught having multiple accounts, you will be IP banned. If you are having trouble wit your account, send an email to loki to dynastyloki555ATgmailDOTcom

Punishements and the warning system

1) The warning system

Since we are using a forum hosting service that use Invision Power Board as its software. We are using its warning system. You get a warn level when you break the rules may increase to more then just one level depending of the infraction followed by a PM from an admin or a mod explain your infraction. When your warn level reach 3, you will be banned for one week and your account will be for 1 month on probation wit your posting previleges restricted when the ban expire. At level 4,you will be permanantly banned from the forums. Note that only Admins and Global moderators can use the warning system. Your warning level will only decrease if the forum staff think you behaved and deserve an warn level decrease.


2)The Punishments

Here a small explaination of the punishments that we will use if we see that you are breaking the rules

2a)Warn point to warn level
Warn points will be mostly gived most of the times when someone is breaking the rules. Look at the warning system explanation for more details.

2b)Account deletation
This will occure on really rare cases. We will simply delete a user from members list and peoples who reregister after being deleted will be on probation

2c)Probation
Being on probation mean that your posting previleges are restricted. You will be put on probation when you come back from being deleted or after being banned for reach a warn level of 3.

2d)Banning
Banning mean that you will no longer be able to see the forums and post. Banning occur for some serious cases such as drama as explained in rule no 4 and when your warn level reach 3 and 4.

2c) ISP Alert
This is the next and final step that we might take for the most serious offenses such as evading a ban. We will simply contact the user ISP and the user internet service might be cut off according to the user ISP term of service.

The staff reserve the right of making changes to the rules and taking action as they see fit. If you see any anything that are breaking the rules, please contact a Local Moderator, Global Moderator or an Administrator for more serious matters.
