Welcome to Allastaire
Academy
The government has elected a new educational board. A hell load of money has been saved, but somewhere has to suffer somewhere along the line! As a consequence of this, a new policy has come into play. all public school had to build accommodation for their pupils, and much in a boarding school fashion, declared that pupils have to stay in the school whilst the school is open, being able to travel home during the holidays or at the weekend if they lived close enough. It is all part of a bigger scheme to get teenagers to bond quicker, by them all living together in the same place. The problem is, not everyone is happy with the idea.
Allastaire Academy has won hundreds of awards over the years for their attendance and academic success. It is really a huge success story. With Olympic worthy sports teams and prodigy genius children, it would seem the best place to send your kids. If you could afford it. Though it would seem, now you can. With the new government policy, St. Michaels in New Hamlet, the local public school, had to close because they were trying to find the funds to build the accommodation. They are receiving government funding, but it is still going to be a long time until the accommodation is built. Because of this, Allastaire's headmaster offered to keep the students in Allastaire. And so a deal was struck. The students of St.Michaels are to attend Allastaire Academy whilst their school is being rebuilt. This- sounds easier than it is done. The last two wings of the academy residential house were opened for the students of St.Michaels, and neither school are happy about it.
The rivalry between the two school goes back since St.Michaels started. Allastaire was seen as where all the posh kids go to be educated, because they were the only people who could afford it. So, automatically a rivalry brewed. St.Michaels was just as good as Allastaire, maybe not as fancy but their teams just as good etc. Now that they are all under the same roof, how long will it be before tempers start to flare?
Look at it this way. The last football match they played? There were three fights in the first ten minutes. Maybe this is a big mistake after all. Two contrasting schools. Two contrasting attitudes. Just a hell loads of b u t t e r f l i e s and h u r r i c a n e s.
