So I am going crazy trying to find all eight paitings, I only have numbers 1, 6, 4 and 8. Where are the other ones?

You must explore the dungeon fully. I don't know how much it helps, but I believe there's a walkthrough lying somewhere around here... As long as you get the three paintings listed in the readme text file included with the installation, you should be fine.
