Those folks who might consider allowing Madonna to adopt David: here's Madonna in her own words! Madge says she's a 'crap mother' - Ananova Madonna says she's a "crap mother" who struggles to balance her career with her family life.
She admitted: "It is a struggle to balance my career with my children. I'm always going: "Oh God, I'm a crap mother". I want to get home and put my kids to bed.
"And then sometimes, if I'm spending a lot of time with my children, I think: "Oh God, I just want to be an artist". And you know, it's hard."
In a frank interview with fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, Madge also revealed that her daughter Lourdes, nine, often gets frustrated by her fame.
She said: "Sometimes she doesn't want me to come to certain things because she knows everyone is going to pay attention to me and then they'll treat her differently.
"I took her to school on the first day last year, and all these kids were buzzing around.
"She came home that day and she was really irritated and kind of bummed out, like people were playing this contest - what would it be like to be Madonna's daughter?" Madge: I'm A Crap Mum - Sky NewsMadonna: ‘I’m A Rubbish Mum!’- UK MTV The superstar says she’s not the super mother that she’s made out to be...
Madonna has proclaimed that she’s actually a rubbish mum, despite being labeled as the opposite.
Speaking in a TV interview, Madonna admitted to finding the balancing of being a huge superstar and a mother very difficult. "I'm always going, 'Oh God, I'm a crap mother!'” she said. “I want to get home and put my kids to bed.
"And then sometimes, if I'm spending a lot of time with my children, I think, 'Oh God, I just want to be an artist…'"
Madonna went on to reveal that her nine-year-old daughter Lourdes often finds it difficult having such a famous mum. "Sometimes she doesn't want me to come to certain things because she knows everyone is going to pay attention to me and then they'll treat her differently.
"I took her to school on the first day last year, and all these kids were buzzing around. She came home that day and she was really irritated and kind of bummed out, like people were playing this contest - what would it be like to be Madonna's daughter."

Madonna admits to being a lousy mother again: Madonna: Being a wife and mother isn't what I want- Daily Mail 2nd November 2006
[caption under photo at their site:] Madonna confessed to being selfish on tour, having a massage rather than being with her children
Madonna has said that she does not want to be a wife and a mother.
And she confessed her older children, Lourdes, 10, and Rocco, six, complain that she neglects them.
The controversial star made the startling admission just three weeks after creating a worldwide furore by adopting little David Banda in Malawi.
It came as she was quizzed on American TV about her six-year marriage with British film director Guy Ritchie.
Speaking on NBC-TV's Dateline programme, which is similar to Newsnight, she laughed with interviewer Meredith Vieira who said: "Six years... and they said it wouldn't last."
Then Madonna was asked: "How do you make it work?"
She replied: "Well, it ain't easy. Being married and having kids is not exactly simple no matter who you are. In fact, trying to make those things work is quite a challenge. Sometimes you drop the ball."
She was asked when she last 'dropped the ball.'
She replied: "When I was on tour, my focus is you know doing my show every night. And on my days off, they're not really days off.
"I have to be mom and and wife and there are times when I should have, you know, hung out with my kids, and I just said, 'No, I need a massage. I'm gonna do that instead. You know? And I'm gonna be selfish'."

Here's a funny little entry from a celebrity blog call dlisted. The blogger is gay but has no luv for Esther. Someone on another blog pointed out the timing of this little drama coinciding with the book release is similar to the Britney kiss coinciding with the 1st book release. DListedMadge is screwing herself over. She won’t stop talking about this adoption thing. Her quotes are amazing though: This is Madge: “Being married and having kids is not exactly simple no matter who you are. In fact, trying to make those things work is quite a challenge. Sometimes you drop the ball.” This is Me: “Um..so you suck at being a mom and you don’t f**k your husband.” This is Madge: “I have to be mom and and wife and there are times when I should have, you know, hung out with my kids, and I just said, “No, I need a massage. I’m gonna do that instead. You know? And I’m gonna be selfish.” This is Me: “So your kids hate you, right? Do they draw pictures of you in flames? Can I have one? I need something to put over my toilet. But as long as it doesn’t have any blue in it, that will just clash with everything.” This is Madge: “And you know, my son would say, ‘How much longer is this gonna go on for? I mean, when are you gonna just be home?” This is Me: “I think when he says “this” it means you being his mom. I think he wants you home, so he can kill you. Cause he hates you, you know. I’m sorry, sometimes the truth hurts. Oh and they are so glad you got that African baby, because Africans learn how to fire guns when they are like infants.” This is Madge: “Just staying home and looking after my children and being a mother and a wife is not what I want. I want more.” This is Me: “Ok..riddle me this. If you don’t want to be a mother, why the hell did you buy a kid?! I don’t want to drive and you don’t see me buying a Ford!” This is Madge: “Um… I do have a terrible temper.” This is Me: “So you hit your kids?”

| QUOTE (Lady Chadwick @ Mar 26 2007, 07:29 PM) | | Is it possible to find the words "Madonna" and "Wine" NOT in a paragraph together anymore? |
Nope And not just wine. She's so well known for drinking beer/ale this happened: Ice Cream Made With Madonna’s Favourite Beer First there were pies and sausages, then came fruitcake and now theres ice cream made with Landlord, the award-winning ale from Keighley based brewer Timothy Taylor and famously Madonnas favourite beer. You know, the Japanese eat all kinds of weird ice cream, such as squid, egg plant, etc.

How wonderful of Madonna, spending quality time with David! Oh, wait, no... she's been out partying with Gwenyth. And isn't it a hallmark of maternal love to spend time getting sloshed with your Hollywood friends instead of attending the adoption hearing of the kid you're trying to steal? Madonna's party sends Gwyneth and Trudie staggering home -has photos of a drunk-looking Gwenyth May 17, 2008 By RICHARD SIMPSON
....Perhaps it was the free-flowing refreshments, or it could even have been religious fervour.
But whatever the reason, an evening with Madonna left some of her famous friends looking a little unsteady [drunk] on their feet.
The singer, who is 50 in August, held a fund-raising event for the mystic Jewish religion kabbalah attended by, among others, Stella McCartney, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sting's wife Trudie Styler.
They poured out on to the streets at 1am with Gwyneth and Trudie so unsteady on their feet they needed to be held up.
....Interestingly, Madonna's lawyer told the High Court in Malawi on Thursday - the day of her party in Soho - that she could not attend an adoption hearing because she was "too busy" with other engagements.
A source said: "The event was a get-together organised by Madonna for the Sisterhood - as the girls call themselves - to celebrate a few things in their lives.
"Madonna has just brought out a new album, Gwyneth has just brought out a new film, and Stella was celebrating getting Heather (Mills) out of her father's life."
And despite their late night, and the refreshments consumed, most were back at the gym within hours to start repairing the damage with a brisk workout. Madonna and Gwyneth enjoy a girlie night out...without their husbandsMay 30, 2008
Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow enjoyed a girlie night out together - without their respective husbands, Guy Ritchie and Chris Martin, at Nobu Berkeley last night.
The pair have both been at the centre of rumours concerning the state of their marriages.
But they didn't let it stop them from sharing dinner a deux at the Japanese eaterie last night.
Madonna and Gwyneth looked decidedly low-key for their evening out, dressed head-to-toe in sombre black.
With Madonna opting for a pair of huge sunglasses to shield her eyes.
Later, the singer was seen heading home in her car, texting on her ever-present Blackberry.
The 49-year-old singer had good cause to celebrate. A Malawian judge said he was satisfied that she and her filmmaker husband, 39, were "perfect parents".
The ruling ends a two-year battle for Madonna and Guy in their bid to adopt David, now two.
Though Banda, 3, has been staying with the couple since October 2006, the adoption process is just now complete.
Madonna was not in court for Wednesday's ruling, but her lawyer told reporters: 'We are very happy with what the judge has ruled.'
Following the news, the singer is said to be planning a solo trip to New York next month ahead of her gruelling world tour and, apart from her 50th birthday celebrations, there appear to be no concrete plans to spend time with her husband.
