Adoption / Orphan(s) - Malawi, Russian etc, - read the latest

Just when I thought the bi tch couldn't sink any lower, out shoots this press release right on the heels of all the recent negative press:

She plans on jetting to Africa to select an Orphan from that same Orphanage she also plans to Help, because Helping African Orphans has suddenly become a passion for her. The African Orphan, she has also suddenly realised, is what is going to save her marriage:

.......it doesn't say if the reason Mag can't conceive is because she passed menopause after the last tour, or, her grimy body cavities are so polluted that the only thing that would grow there is fungus, or, in order to try and conceive an infant, Goober would actually have to climb into bed with that and.......

I would be tempted to file it under the "Guy Ritchie and Manny want another kid" rumor thread.

The slight change with this story is that it's gone from "Manny to get pregnant" to "Manny to adopt a kid."

Based upon everything I've read, a troubled marriage cannot be saved by having a kid.

Maybe she's trying to make herself out to be another Josephine "Rainbow Tribe" Baker or Angelina Jolie?

Did you see the GR and Manny Marriage thread where I pasted in stories about Manny and GR coming up with a "sex schedule?"

(There is one aspect of this news story I want to discuss in that thread, btw.)

I could be totally wrong here, but...

This may be the foreshadowing of a new thing / culture for her to steal from.

If she is thinking about releasing another CD / tour, maybe she wants to go the Paul Simon / Sting route and include "world music" (in her case, via African tribal music) in her next CD.

Funny thing is, that was a fad years ago, but if she tries to revive it, journalists will fall all over themselves insisting that she either

1- created it all on her own; or

2- others did it before her, but by golly!, she deserves more credit than the originators!

We may also see Man-donna dressing up in stereotypical African garb.

Some of the women there wear lots of rings in their noses or around their necks, so Man-donna would rip that off. Some of them put designs on their faces with some kind of white make-up.

The men in those areas usually wear loin cloths. Either Manny will do that, or she'll include back-up dancers dressed like that.

I saw this article late last night, and I wondered the same thing you did.

Maybe she's thinking she'll lose her manly-man physique if she has a kid? The older you get, the harder it is to get your figure back if you gain weight. It can be done, but it's hard.

(They can't watch TV but they can watch her flip off, cuss out people, trash the country, and hump objects).
Maybe the real ones get the royal treatment, and the orphan is raised by a nanny.
Oh, and I thought her marriage was hunky-dory. She realizes an orphan will "save it?"

My understanding is that she wants to actually adopt a kid and bring the kid home to live with her (see excerpts below).

However, just a few months ago the stories were saying she was "adopting an entire village" by donating money to get them some kind of facility built in Africa (probably a Berg Shrine).

Every starving, sick child needs over-priced red string bracelets and Zohar copies.

Maybe this will be the basis for her next kiddie book -

- Something about Binah's parents adopting a kid.

The story will be told in such a way to teach some kind of life lessons to kiddos (read: adult Manny fans who buy six copies each), but the real lesson will be that Binah is loved more than Adopted Kid, but Binah can't help it darnit, because she's so darned pretty and charming.

On a more serious note, never mind Adopted Kid being foisted on a nanny. Manny already basically does this with her Real Kids.

While Madonna is busy stirring up controversy (not to mention going out in public in her bathrobe) on her European tour, her kids are taking in the tres, tres belles sights of Paris with their nanny and bodyguard

Rocco and Lourdes were spotted by photogs playing at the Eiffel Tower recently.

The kids, especially Rocco, seemed very close to their caretaker and protector and were having a grand ol' time while the folks are out bringing home the bacon.

Before going to airport on September 13th, Madonna made a secret visit to an orphanage in Moscow. The press did not know about that at all!

Would this be like Manny's trip to that hospital for sick kids, where she gave them one of her kiddie books, and many photos from that were printed in papers 'round the world? Free p.r., here we come!

I wonder if the no-press thing was less of not wanting to "show off" her good deed than it was for the sake of logistics; too many media would've attracted fans as well, making it much more difficult to make the visit.

Then you have those death threats from the Russian mafia, etc., so I'm sure she's not going to advertise all over the place that she's visiting an orphange there (but I bet she wanted to).

Yesterday morning before Madonna left Moscow she visited boarding school No. 80, to meet with the orphans and give them gifts.

There had been rumours that a famous pop star was to visit the children and the orphanage was buzzing with rumours of who it could be. The children were speechless when Madonna appeared from her car - with photographer Steven Klein (who took pictures during the visit).

Madonna was given a tour of the orphanage and answered all the childrens questions even though she was tired after performing last night. She advised the children to read more and watch less television!

Madonna was presented with a bouquet of flowers and home-made tryapichnuyu doll on her departure.

Yesterday evening before her concert Madonna also met pupils from the social center 'Otradnoe' - Rodina Anna, Zhalybina Katya, Kucherov Sascha and Nikolay from a boarding school No. 8 (see pictured below).

Madgina "brought 15 cakes and seven items of clothing for children. No cash donations for the orphanage's administration or inmates were made," the press service told Interfax.

I guess they didn't appreciate the kids being made publicity patsies for Manny.
