Abridged Constitution of Aberdeen

Founder of AberdeenPreambleThe main aims and principles of the Region of Aberdeen are thus:
To create a strong union between the member nations and share common values such as peace, democracy and freedom,
To create a region founded on the principles of liberty, democracy and the respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, tolerance and for the rule of law,
To place the individual at the heart of the activities of the region of Aberdeen by establishing the citizenship of the region and by creating freedom, security and justice for the nations that reside within,
To preserve the individuality of each member nation, but also to bring them together with our common values,
To protect and save the environment for future generations.
To found one single region which is to be called Aberdeen (otherwise known as the United Nations of Aberdeen (UNA))
Highlights of THE BILL OF RIGHTSEveryone has:
i. the right to life;
ii. freedom of thought;
iii. freedom of speech;
iv. the right to own private property;
v. freedom of thought, conscience and religion
vi. freedom of expression and information
vii. freedom of peaceful assembly
viii.freedom of the arts and sciences
ix. the right to Equality
x. the right of non-discrimination
xi. the right to free health-care
Highlights of THE ARTICLES of UNITYAll member nations, including those countries having government positions, are free to vote
The Region of Aberdeen Shall have a government thus:
The Prime Minister (UN Delegate) – leader of the government
The President and founder – representative and figurehead of the region
The Cabinet Members appointed by the PM -
Minister of Foreign Relations,
Minister of Internal Affairs,
Minister of Immigration,
Minister of Information and Defence plus other Ministerial positions, if created by the PM
Members of Parliament – Elected by the people as representatives in the government, 2-10 can be elected at any given time; additional Executive positions can be created by the PM for which one of the MPs is selected.
Every six months, a new delegate will be elected; the previous delegate will be allowed to stand again but only for a maximum of three times.
The House of Members (HoM) is made up of all member nations. The HoM may introduce, change, and repeal laws through a simple-majority voting system.
A
Regional Court is to be set up and headed by the Minister of Internal Affairs to settle disputes between member nations and other matters of importance.
Regional Currency – The member nations of Aberdeen are encouraged to sign up to the single- currency scheme. The UNAD (United Nations of Aberdeen Dollar)
