Welcome to Asylum 82
This hellhole will be your home until you either die of natural causes, someone else kills you, or you somehow found a way into the med cabinet. You will rot here, and lose all sense of self, unless you entered here without it. Many patients that have entered into Asylum 82 are here by their choice. Many are murder suspects that plead insanity to be here. And others were placed here because their families viewed them as unfit for society. Things tend to happen in this place, many patients are known to end up missing soon after arrival and be found hidden in a closets days later, and others are killed on the spot. Whatever the case, be careful who you befriend. Never know when someone will place an order to you have you killed.

~ General Rules
No Godmodding
Everything is lumped together with this category. No godmodding, no powerplaying, no doubleposting. Depending on how many times you’ve done either of these, certain actions will be taken by an admin. So please, behave.
Post length.
I’m not saying you have to write a book with your post, but please try to be as literate as possible, the least amount that any post should be 400 words. If you can't do that much, don't even bother signing up. Regarding posts, try to avoid typos and punctuation errors, if the post is bad enough, the admin will be forced to go through and correct the errors. Languages In Posts I know some people like to use them, so if you decide to, translate what your character is saying. Don’t space off during your posts. If you’re tired, don’t post. Wait until the next day. Save the person you’re roleplaying with the confusion and wait.
Registration
When registering your character, use your character’s first and last name. If you wish to use their middle name, go for it. First and last are required. Also, use real names, if a name like this “many_bunnies_12” is registered and an application is posted. The app will be deleted along with the name.
Rating & Age Limit
Being that the forum is an Asylum. Violence, Sex, and drugs are an obvious part of the plot and everyday life. I’m not saying there’s an age limit, it all depends on maturity. Don’t sign up on the forum if you know you can’t handle: Suggested sex, possible sex posts, violence, death, swearing etc. If you do sign up and start complaining, your name and character will be deleted.
Activity
When joining the A82 community it’s expected of you to post as often as you can. If you cannot post often, please state so in a post in the “Will You Be Missed?” section. No one wants to sit around and wait for a post that will never come. Also, don’t sign up if you’ll be leaving in a few days for a vacation. Once your name is created, you have a short time to create a character before your name is deleted.
Respect
The A82 community is all about respecting its members and the person or persons in power on the forum. If an admin tells you not to do something, listen to them, or risk the deletion of your character and name. It’s supposed to be a friendly environment outside of the main posting areas, so please. Keep it that way. Also, watch out for new members and help them as much as possible. Guide them to the proper areas, and be nice about it. All rudeness will not be accepted.

~ Character Rules
Applications
When creating your character, make sure to fill in every blank provided. Skipping a blank will result in the Rejection of your Character. Make the illnesses believable. Something you made up doesn’t count. If the illness seems false enough, I’ll do background research to see if you know what you’re pretending to be. Make the reason your character is here believable. Example: My character jumped off of a ten story building, and lived. They thought it best to place so-and-so here. This clearly would not be accepted because your character would be dead. The jump itself would have given your character a heart attack, and they’d be dead by impact. Make sure your character’s history fits with the reason why he/she is in the Asylum, and with their illness.
Post Content
All fights, sexual encounters and deaths will need to be dealt with by the members involved. The Asylum is not responsible for the loss of your character, nor will it do anything to prevent it. Think of A82 as a real place, if you had the crap kicked out of you, you sure as hell would not be up walking around ten minutes later. If you’d prefer to avoid the death of your character, talk it out with the other member involved.
Face Claims
In the past I’ve liked the idea of using anime pictures for my characters, but not here. All characters must use a real person. Check the face claim area often; we don’t need two people wandering around using the same person.
You'll Never Escape
You bet, this is that special little code that proves you read the rules. That or you skimmed the rules. Remember, we're watching you. We know when you skimmed and when you haven't!
Signatures & Avatars
Your signature and avatar must be a picture of your character. You can go without a signature, but the avatar is required. Also, when making a signature, don’t make it huge. People don’t want to scroll half a page because you wanted a gigantic picture for your character. You are allowed to have words in your signature, but remember too many words and you’ll exceed the limit. So keep it short and sweet.
Limited Numbers
There isn’t a limit on how many characters you have but there is a regulation to it. If you want to make a second character, please make sure your first character is active. Remember, you can have as many as you want, just make sure they are all active.
