WELCOME
Welcome to Asylum 82
This hellhole will be your home until you either die of natural causes, someone else kills you, or you somehow found a way into the med cabinet. You will rot here, and lose all sense of self, unless you entered here without it. Many patients that have entered into Asylum 82 are here by their choice. Many are murder suspects that plead insanity to be here. And others were placed here because their families viewed them as unfit for society. Things tend to happen in this place, many patients are known to end up missing soon after arrival and be found hidden in a closets days later, and others are killed on the spot. Whatever the case, be careful who you befriend. Never know when someone will place an order to you have you killed.

THE SETTING
The place where it all happened.
"WHERE ARE WE?"

According to one of the Doctors, we're somewhere over in Eastern Europe.

I think she's lying to us. Why would we be in Europe?

When I asked the date, she said it was
Late August, but she wouldn't tell me what year.

WHAT'S WITH THIS PLACE?
They won't tell us anything.

“Since the early 19th century, the building known as “Asylum 82” has been the home to some of the world’s biggest criminal masterminds, serial killers, and even the pathetic fools down at the bottom that believed slitting their wrists was the way to go. The purpose of this building? To fix the problems that have arose in society, to fix the minds of the killers, to make them suitable for close human contact. At least, that’s what the original plan had been. Never had anyone thought the building would harbor such horrid people. They don’t want help. They want freedom without work. They want to continue their disgusting lives, making others suffer and getting away with it.

Nothing seems to get through to any of them, it doesn’t matter what the doctors do. No one can figure them out to make “fixing” them possible. Can they really be fixed? Can they be saved? Is that even the right word, saved…? How can you save someone that doesn’t want saving. Until an answer can be found, we are forced to deal with their outbursts, their tongue lashings, and even their physical attempts to harm each other. This place brings out the worst in these people. Had they been placed in a different Asylum, perhaps they might have been treatable. Unfortunately they are here, and we are here to try out damnedest to fix them.“
- Dr. Libiel.

The new purpose of the Asylum is to better understand the patients, not fix them. After Dr. Libiel’s words to his staff just before he disappeared, it became apparent that there wasn’t a way to save these people. Instead, a different approach would be taken. The doctors and staff would try to understand them. To understand why the do what they do, what their motives are, and possibly find a way to make them better people. If that’s even possible.

“Within the Asylum, there seems to be rules amongst the patients. Like a set of unwritten laws that each patient must follow in order to keep their lives. The patients that we have labeled ‘High Concern’ seem to run things from their rooms. Is it perhaps because they have been convicted of murder? Because they are dangerous? Or is it something else. Maybe we’ll never know.” - Dr. Libiel.

As the good doctor stated, there does appear to be a set of rules amongst the patients. It doesn’t matter how long they’ve been in the Asylum. They all seemed to be aware of these rules. Rarely are they broken, and when they are… Everyone knows. The end result is death. You do not disobey. You do not question. And most important of all, you do not tell the doctors about the rules. As long as these rules are followed, everything in the Asylum runs smoothly.

So if it’s terrorizing the nurses, verbally abusing those willing to volunteer in the Asylum, or trying to cause bodily harm to yourself and those around you, your stay at the Asylum will be an interesting one. Let’s try to make it out alive.
