She how bored she was, honestly it was a crying shame. She didn't want to wonder around all day, so she ducked into her favorite book store. The had a great selection of older books. It was one of the very few places that Moria was a complete Jesus freak. She wiped at her eyes, and reminded herself to take some flowers down to the memorial.

She couldn't believe how many where gone now. It made her so sad and depressed. It seemed like for awhile she had troubles even believing in God, but she had gotten over that pretty quickly. After all, it wasn't God's fault it had happened. She sighed and shifted through a couple of christan romance novels.

She thought they were so wonderful, after all brothers adn sisters in christ getting togather in a holy and sacred union.

"So beautiful," She whispered softly and opened the book to scan the first few pages.

nowadays, domino kelly didn't really do much except a few of the things that were expected of her as a cheerleader and a kelly sister. both of the sisters were highly popular, and even with the fire, domino still was near the top of the high school food chain. and with these kids from east treeport coming in, she definitely wasn't going to let any of them swoop in and snag her spot in popularity. but when she wasn't in school, or being dragged to hang out with her friends, she was locked in her room reading or drawing. sometimes she left her room to eat or try and make amends with her twin, but chevy was being too stupid to get over the fact that domino made her choice and went to prom. she is dealing with the consequences now, and having her twin sister ignore her was making this any better?

puh-lease, it was making this whole ordeal worse. so, with no one to hang out with currently, she was browsing through the bookstore looking for something to read. she had scoured all of the nicholas sparks novels - not finding one she hadn't read yet - and was now onto the more ... classic-seeming literature. you know, novels like girl with a pearl earring. ah yes, the volume she was browsing through now. just flipping through pages, the blonde set the novel down and continued to browse, her eye quickly coming upon an exotic-looking cover. recognizing the face on the cover, she eagerly snatched up memoirs of a geisha and knew she was going to end up reading that particular book. she loved the movie - it was one of her favourites - and the love story was just ... incredible. and she always wanted to compare the book to the movie. just to see which was better.

walking through the bookstore towards the register, she spotted a girl - who looked to be a few years younger than she - in the christian romance novel section and the blonde stopped. after a few moments, she recognized the face and approached the girl, smiling slightly and speaking once she was right next to her. "hi," she greeted, surprised at herself for actually walking up to someone - one she didn't know well to begin with - and start talking. maybe the prospect of reading her newest purchase was making her want to try something new.

[the book is way better xD ]

She looked up and saw the girl, blond, and noticed that she seemed familiar. She saw the book in her hand, and her brows furrowed momentarily. She turned and smiled at the girl.

"Hi," She said softly, trying hide the cover of the book her cheeks tingeing a faint pink," I'm Moria."

She took a moment to look at the girl. She was very pretty and seemed sad. She supposed that everyone looked sad nowadays. Even the world itself looked sad, more depressed, lonely. She found herself thinking of how unfair everything was, and how life itself could just be so cruel. She knew allot of the girls that died in the fire, and most of them were good Christians, so why did they die in a away that seemed like it should be reserved for the sinners and evil people of the world. For Moria, who was used to seeing it in black and white, it was very distressing and even more heart breaking.

She let out a small little sigh, and returned her attention to the girl. The day might not be so bad, after all if she found some one that she could hang out with, she wouldn't be alone with her very disturbing thoughts.

[[ ooc: yeah i know. but both are fully amazing. ]]

with a quick glance at the section she was in - more or less the shelving they were in front of - domino shrugged her shoulders slightly as if she didn't care where they were standing. yeah, once upon a time domino was a devout child of faith, but as she grew older she became disillusioned with institutionalized religion and started going her own way. more spiritual than religious. bible-thumping seeming horridly pointless to her, especially with the multiple contradictions. sure, she knew that it was a library, not a book, but would the lord really sanction some of what was written in those books? like multiple wives and such, when he was so into the belief that everything he created was equal?

it never made sense to her, but she had taken a pragmatic view on things like that for all intents in purposes. if it works for you, then it works for you. but pushing views on people, not so much. and once the fire happened, she wasn't sure what was really believable in that sort of thing. you know, religious context. but when the brunette introduced herself as moira, domino nodded her head and remembered a bit about her. well, the basics. after all, the blonde was a senior, and this brunette was only a sophomore. "penwood, right? moira penwood? i'm domino, domino kelly," she replied with an introduction of her own before offering her free hand to be shaken.

Moria clasped the girls hand gently in her own hand. She was a senior if Moria remember correctly, and she usually did. The thought of knowing a senior and the power that it would give her, made her certian to put on her best, most charming face. She was gratefull for the natural charm her mother had genetically passed down to her. She has seen too many girls trying to fake their way into being charming. It was such a shame.

"Domino, that's a pretty name. How did your parents come up with it?" She questioned tilting her head very faintly to the side. She was very interested in what the girl had to say, if nothing else for the fact that this girl was a senior, and a very popular one.

as the brunette asked where she got her name, domino frowned up her delicate features in confusion. "i really don't know. i mean, i don't even know where they got my sister's name. but at least i know they're talking about us. domino and chevy. i mean, there aren't many people named that in the world, let alone treeport, right?" she asked with a small, slightly forced smile. many smiles of hers were forced, but that was only because it had only been so long since the fire. a few months wasn't much time for her to react and try to get over what had happened.

"i think they just thought it was a cool name from the bond girls. like domino in thunderball," she hypothesized. her father - and her in turn - loved james bond, so it wouldn't be a surprise to her that he would name her after a bond girl. although compared to some of the other names of bond girls - like pussy galore and octopussy - she got a good name that was different. although being named 'pussy galore' would've be hilarious. although domino derval was a pretty awesome bond girl. wow, total rambling. "my dad's a huge james bond fan," she explained as if it was no big deal and a total explanation. although she definitely couldn't explain what possesed her parents to name her sister chevy.

"although i sometimes would like a 'normal' name, like moira," she shrugged her shoulders slightly at the younger girl.

She smiled back at the girl very faintly. She privately thought that Moria was a very unique name, but she supposed when faced with a name like Domino in comparasion it did look down right dowdy.

"My father likes James Bond. I personally don't get it," She said with a small shrug. She thought James Bond was pretty boring. It seemed like all he did was run around trying to kill people , or narrowly miss being killed. She had seen enough death, to last her a lifetime.

"Moria is an ok name. It is fairly common, especially in my family. So have you seen the movie yet?" She asked gesturing to book that Domino held.

"Moria is an ok name. It is fairly common, especially in my family. So have you seen the movie yet?"

"not that it's a plain name or anything ... but it's a bit more normal than mine, or my sister's," the blonde shrugged her shoulders, hoping she hadn't offended the girl or anything like that. but when the brunette asked about the movie, domino nodded her head eagerly. "yeah, it's one of my favourites. have you?" she inquiried as she turned her gaze away from the girl and at the novel in her hand. movies like memoirs were nothing short of amazing, that is definitely for sure. the way the story was told, and incredibly accurate - she had watched the special features about twenty-nine times this summer alone - she couldn't help but be amazed at it.

things like that made her love the entertainment industry and want to work in movies, but she wasn't sure that was her calling. music and art and stuff in the arts were her calling for sure, but she could just as easily work in the music industry - although not a singer or musician - as she could be an actress. but being an actress ... that would be amazing. "one of my friends said that the book was better than the movie, and so i wanted to see for myself. plus, i do a lot of reading nowadays compared to before," she mused out loud. well, compared to the social lives she led now and then, and the fact that school wasn't in session, she had the time to read for pleasure. although the books she ended up reading for english class were really good and she'd read them again for fun.

She paused and considered the question for a moment. In situations there was always two answers she could give; the right answer and the Jesus answer. As per usual she chose the right answer.

"I haven't yet," She said enthusiastically, "I've been wanting to, though. My friends say that it is completely awesome!"

The truth was she had been wanting to see it, if nothing to look at all the sinning ways of the heathern Japanese people. That and the kimono. They were so cool. She thought about getting one for a bathrobe. She'd be the first girl she knew to have one. She made a mental note to ask her daddy about it when she got home.

"Is as pretty as everyone says it it is?"

with moira's answer, domino shrugged her shoulders, attempting to play off any thoughts other than good. according to what she heard from her parents - and the cheerleaders moira's age - she was like that jamie sullivan character in a walk to remember. you know, one of those 'jesus freaks'. probably could've been part of jesus camp, if it was based around religious fanatics of the midwest. a nagging voice said she was judging the blonde based on her choice and taste, but domino wasn't one to care. "it's amazing. the scenery is amazing, the costumes are really pretty, and it's really well-made. not to mention, there wasn't even that much sex or anything like a lot of today's movies. but that's just the culture of geisha," she explained with a small smile.

"it's a shame what the americans and the war did to the culture. i mean, american's turned women into prostitutes and called anyone wearing makeup and kimono 'geisha'. not back then. but i shouldn't say anymore. i mean, i don't want to spoil the movie for you," she shrugged her shoulders innocently as she looked at her watch for a moment. goodness, she had spent more time than planned in the bookstore. but was she complaining? no.

Moria looked slightly taken aback, from what Pastor Skip had said about the movie, it was riddled with sin and debauchery.

"I had heard the costumes where very pretty," She said, still faintly confused at what the girl said. She would have to ask Pastor Skip again just to make sure. I mean, he had seen the movie, or at least he said he did. And if it was so riddled with sin and debauchery, then why did he get to see it. Moria figured she was just as holy as the pastor, if not more holy, but she didn't get to see it. Again Moria was confused, her brow furrowed faintly at her own thoughts, and she blinked a little rapidly.

"I'll have to check it out, then," She said, "You defiantly have caught my interest. Hey you wanna go grab a coke or something?"

She figured she might be pushing her luck, but she was desperate to keep her mind off the thoughts that were troubling her.
