"I've known King for longer than I've known Mac, but we started talking more this year. I was outside with some people she knew too, in front of the school, and she came over. I wasn't expecting her to start flirting with me at all. I mean, not that I'm completely hopeless, but she's one of those hot juniors and I'm freshmeat. And I'm friends with her brother. But I definitely didn't turn it away. I've hung out around her a few times since then, when other people are around too since we haven't gotten to that point where we hang out alone. A couple of people have told me to watch out for her and quite honestly, I think she was just flirting with me to get back at someone, since it seemed to pick up when this dude walked by. Whatever. It's all good, and it's not like I'm crushing on her, although I did think maybe I was starting to at some point. She's not bad, but I don't know. Sometimes she gets on my nerves. She likes to flaunt what she has and she seems pretty manipulative. When gossip strikes up, I just back away because I'm not into that. So we definitely do clash at times and there have even been a couple of nasty words shot at each other, which I think we pretend is teasing but has some underlying truth to it. Other times though, she's chill."

"Mackenzie and I used to get on really well. I'm not even really sure why, cause we aren't really that much alike, but we were really close. She used to be the one person I could go to when I needed something, and the same the other way around. We met when I started school, right at the beginning. She's only a year ahead of me, so we sort of just clicked. That was when I met her brother. Yeah, you could say that me and Kingston got close real quick, and Mackenzie and I stopped hanging about as much as we normally would. Then when I started dating Kingston, things just kept going downhill with Mac and me. Now, well I guess she blames me for ruining our friendship by dating her brother. I'm kind of at a dead end, cause I really valued our friendship, but I'm serious about Kingston. Maybe one day she'll just accept that I'm dating her brother, and that we can still be friends. "Let's just say this. I was coming from Newport Beach with no friends and a ruined reputation. You can imagine how hard it was for me to make friends with anyone. Until I met Mac. Most people know Mac either because of her money or because of Kingston. I can proudly claim that it is not the same for me. I met her while I was moving in. I could tell she was the kind of girl who used to be mean to me and would be mean to me. At school, I'd ignore her and walked past her. It wasn't long before she started to hate me a little. Ok alot. She spread some bad rumors about me that got me to feel REALLY uncomfortable. I found her and confronted her straight to her face. A few fists were thrown and we were sent to the principal's office. I was sitting there and I really felt bad. I was easily guilty, and I apologized to her. I told her about Newport and David. I hoped she understood what happened. I didn't expect her to, but she did. It was hard for us to be friends after that, but slowly, the feeling creeped up. She didn't judge me like everyone else did when I dated Michaels. We're pretty damned close now. We do basically everything together. I like to think that she's a little like my protector. I'd never had friends before, she is the best one yet."
