In other words, they were made in your interest, so please follow them. ♦ Register with the first and last name of the character you will be trying out for. No numbers, no middle names or initials, and there must be capital letters when appropriate. Bad examples: janedoe593, jane doe, jane_doe, Jane Marie Doe. Good example: Jane Doe. If you don't follow this rule, an administrator will be forced to change your name for you. ♦ Do not argue or interfere with the administration. You are not the one who makes the choices on this site--the creators are. If you strongly disagree with something, PM a staff member with a polite explanation of what you think is being done wrong. Don't suggest things unless we ask for them. You may think you're helping but, more often than not, it's just annoying. ♦ Be kind to the other members. We're all here to do one thing; roleplay. There's no need for OOC drama to interfere. ♦ Please don't post in the in character or plotting sections until your application is accepted. If you do, your post will be deleted without warning or explanation. It's not our fault if you don't read or follow the rules. Besides, how do you know if you're going to be accepted or not? ♦ We have a posting minimum of two good paragraphs here, so please do not go under that. Even if you do have writer's block, two paragraphs should be easy enough. If it isn't possible for you to post two good paragraphs at least all the time, then this site isn't for you. We are intermediate to advanced, and we expect our members to be at that level. ♦ This site isn't rated in terms of material. That means that we are trusting you to figure out what's appropriate for this type of RPG, and what's appropriate for roleplay in general. We don't expect much sex in this type of RPG, but there's always a maybe, so you must be mature enough to handle that kind of material in case it ever comes up. ♦ Each application must be finished in four days, or it will automatically be moved to the DENIED forum. You can always try again, but we prefer to have members who are dedicated enough to finish an application in the given time. ♦ No Mary-Sues. I am strongly against them, as they are extremely unrealistic. In this kind of RPG, with all the potential problems flying around such as a disorder or substance abuse, I realize that a Mary-Sue would be very easy to make. You have to realize that these problems aren't "cool"--they're hard, and will make your character miserable. I have several of the problems listed myself, and will take offense if you fail to describe how terrible they are and instead focus on how "cool" they make your character. In order to get a realistic characterization, research a little. If you have any questions about Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Selective Mutism, Social Phobia, or OCD, you can PM me and I'll try to answer them the best I can. ♦ Please do not flame the board for any reason. If you have a complaint, contact an administrator and calmly tell them your story. That way we'll take you seriously, and come up with a reasonable answer together.
