Chloe walked into the infirmary, very scared. She had only been in here once, her first day, and never wanted to come back. But she knew something wasn't right---she could barely go to the group meeting without having to hold her stomach in pain. One of the counselors had told her to come, and so, she thought it was time. She was literally freaked to be here, though you wouldn't see any fear in the tough facade she had built unless you carefully examined her eyes. Her eyes showed everything.
"Um...Sue?" She spoke feebly, coming to a desk, where the nurse sat. "What can I do for you....Chloe, is it?" Chloe nodded. "My stomach's been hurting a lot for days, even long after I've thrown up. I don't have the "time of the month", but I have really bad cramps all day....and they've been getting worse." "How long has this been happening Chloe?" Sue asked as she took out a pair of gloves and put them on. "At least a week." Sue came out behind her desk and guided Chloe to a bed. "Take a seat." She waited for Chloe to do so. "Did you have sex withing the past month?" Chloe didn't know what to say...but she knew she had to answer. She nodded. She had it a lot, with Sasha, and before that, her mum's boyfriends, but mostly Sasha. "Okay, lie down, and take your shirt off your stomach. I'm gonna put a cold fluid on it." Chloe did as she was told, really nervous? What could this be? What was wrong with her? There's always something wrong with you, you good for nothing girl. Her thoughts always came alive inside her head, making everything three times worse.
Sue continued to rub the belly with an iron-looking thing, while looking at a monitor for something....but Chloe couldn't tell what she was looking for, nor did she really want to know. Sue stopped abruptly. She had found what she was hoping not to find. She didn't know how to break it to the young girl...Much too young.Sue turned around to her after she put the stuff away. "Chloe...you're pregnant."
Chloe sat straight up, and panic was now written all over this face. "No...no...I can't be...it's..." Sue bit her lip. "It's fact, Chloe."
