power;; John's power is actually know at Biokinesis, which would refer the ability to have a control over biological substances, compounds, and many other more complicated things that he himself, even with his advanced science background does not understand. He has not taken the easiest form of his powers as many people like him have, and that would be ability to heal not only himself but also others. He has taken a slightly more advance technique known as clorokineses. This would be known as a control over not only plants, but also other things directly related to plants.
One of the most notable ways that he has displayed this power to help himself directly is the introduction of a layer of chlorophyll directly beneath his skin, which for some reason seems to be lacking the amounts of melanin that his body should be producing, which suggest a much more intimate control then he knows consciously about. This lack of melanin is extremely important as these cells will not absorb the sunlight before it can strike the chlorophyll that lies directly beneath his skin. This seems not only to decrees the amount of food he must intake, but also the fact that he has extremely increased endurance when sun light is present.
As I have said, he does have a very well grasped control over all plant life. Meaning not only can he increase the rate at which it grows, but he can also direct its growth path, as well as many other strange aspects of the plants life, it is notable that the plants do not seem to have any strange side effects other then their extreme growth, and that their growth will not slow unless he slows it himself, this suggests that perhaps he is in some way changing the genetic coding for the plant for the time that he wishes to do so.
Because of his extreme scientific background it is notable that he is able to take apart most substances at a molecular level, giving him an interior knowledge that few can match, making him extremely helpful when it comes to medical sciences, or organic chemistry because he can not only discover what the underlying problem is, but also what would be the best way to counteract that virus or substance in question.

appearance in depth;;When a person looks at John the first thing they would notice is his extremely untamed hair. His hair falls into a deeper brown, nearly black category. His face is rather well kept, and it has very few lines or marks across it. It is notable that when he has been in contact with plants or arganic materials for an extended period of time his skin will begin to take a green tint, showing the chlorophyll that lies just beneath his skin. His skin many would describe as almost pale. His skin does posses melanin, but minimal amounts to allow his body to absorb the sunlight that he can process.
One of the other more surfaced features of his face are his eyes. Everything about them seems to scream wild. There is nearly a fire that burns behind them, showing that he really does in no way wish to be kept controlled. Every one of his facial features ends in well cut contours of his face. When he is seen, there is nearly always a small smile finding it's way to the surface, just continue the trend of the rest of his face showing that he is a wild soul.
Every feature on his body is chiseled, but not so much out of rock, but more natural lines, almost as if in some way he is in control of his appearance. His arms fall at an even length, but his hands seem to stand out. Not only do they posses the stains of soil that he will never successfully and completely scrub off, but he also has many scars that streak across the palms of his hands, they are not there by natural causes by any means, and the scars look similar to vines that are growing on a closer look.
Everyone of his features continues down his well build and conditioned body. His legs that hold him really are more like bundles of muscle to hold up his rather impressive frame. His figure is a well build and amazingly natural looking build of just over six feet. Because of his well developed muscular structure he weighs some where around 160 lbs.
When someone watches John walk, they would be able to tell he does so smoothly and as an extremely coordinated, yet held back individual. Everything from his facial expressions right down to his smile show that in some way he is wild under it all.

personality in depth;;John is mostly a rather reserved and quite kid, who in his heart is wild, and he longs for someone that could possibly match him. His quite personality is not founded on anything, and it isn't really who he is. He lives of the philosophy that speaking only shows your own stupidity. He also believes that it is not knowing the answers, but know when to ask the right questions. His parents taught him rather well in terms of treating others well, and knowing what and when to do things, their increased parenting is a direct result of the loss of his brother.
Losing his brother did however effect him to very high levels. Not only because he lost one of the people who looked out for him in his life, but also because his parents began to teach him how he should live his life, they were in a sense trying to make sure that John never repeated his older brother's mistakes. John in his mind never really knew why he lost his brother. He knew his parents said that he lost him to Liquor, and that John should never drink. What John has discovered is that his body does not react to it the way that most humans do anyway.
The final and probably strongest personality quirk that John has is not only his love for plants and wildlife, but also how he does in fact realize that he was not put here to protect it. He hates pointless destruction and death, but regardless he knows that in some way that plants are expendable when compared not only to human lives, but also those of mutants. He will however not blink when it comes to incapacitation of people who have threatened him, he know that killing is not the answer, but he also knows that sometimes, what must be done must be done.

history in depth;;In John's own words, he never suffered during his whole life, he simply worked to ensure that his entire life would not be wasted, similar to how his now deceased older brothers was in his parents eyes.
John was born into a rather well off family. Everything they did was planned, everything that wasn't planned was quickly covered up and compensated for. The one mistake that his parents had no way to make go away was named John. They had never intended to have a third child, their current life was perfect, a Varsity cheer leader for a daughter, and a star runner for a son.
Surprise did not begin to describe his mothers mindset when she knew there was no way she couldn't be pregnant. Her husband equally surprised, managed to put a brilliant spin on it for her wife, at least they already had two amazingly successful children, there wasn't much of a way this one couldn't follow in its older siblings path.
John's mother carried her final child to term, and deliver a healthy baby boy. He was in many ways similar to his brother as he grew up. He had no trouble doing anything that his parents set before him, and more then that, he was much smarter then his older brother. As he grew he accelerated at nearly every academic subject, especially science.
As he grew older, his parents were still happy that by chance they had gotten such a not only promising son, but also that they had chosen to have this son. Much like most kids born considerably later then their siblings he nearly became an only child. Everything he needed he got, and then some, his ample supply of things did not make him happy, he was in many ways becoming less and less tame as he grew older, the only class he could sit though with out starting to create problems was science.
After his birth though his brother had started to undergo Extreme changes. His once amazing running style fell apart. His grades crashed. His amazing girlfriend and him broke up, and at last death greeted John's family with his older brother dieing.
Drunk driving. John had lost his brother to liquor, and from that point on, his parents promised themselves that in no way would John repeat his brother actions. Everything John did was watched closely by his parents, and in place of his brother his sister accelerated in collage, everything came easy to her as she focused on her work, and John strived not to be left behind.
When he was thirteen his world changed more then anyone of them wanted to admit, and his parents, even though the accepted him for who he had become, they still feared that with the changing world he may be discriminated against, and they asked him not to show what he could do to anyone. For one time in his life, he knew his parents were more then right, and that this was nothing to be shared.
When he was home, everything about him changed, he took a brilliant new interest in his school work to distract him, and much to his mothers satisfaction, she had an amazing flower garden in her back yard. His power was well under his control, and the only time he ever came close to slipping was when his school happened to end up covered in impossible amounts of plant growth on the day that he had to take a Math final.
His parents loved him, but they also knew that he couldn't continue to stop himself, he had never been connect to the school, but it wasn't everyday that schools just happened to end up completely covered in thousands of vines and trees that had never been there before. They noticed that his entire room was covered in plant growth in every place possible, right down to his bed, which he no longer used, but rather he slept from a series of vines hanging from his ceiling.
They started to look for an outlet for him, their yard never seemed to need work, the grass never needed cutting, and it seemed as if new breeds of flowers began to grow around their house. He couldn't really be kept at home any longer, it wouldn't be long before completely revamped that yard, and until his work started to spread. What they did both note as organic chemists was that his new plants possessed strange new compounds that did things that they would not have ever dreamed of it he hadn't made them, and their work progressed at a blistering pace, and they received amazing awards for their work, it was almost as if they didn't even need to make the compounds anymore, their son had read everyone of their old text books, and he was making compounds that they barely remembered hearing about, much less being used to help others.
They never did find a new outlet for him, but one found them. They were contacted by a private school, located as they were told in the letter 'For his extreme mastery of advanced chemistry classes.' They couldn't think of anything better to do, and during his sophomore year of high school they transferred him to the New York based school.
