Lilly Just Rounded the corner to her new dorm. Wow was she exited for this. She Finally got Accepted to the Best academy in Rome. The Lunar Eclipse Academy. Twelve years of hard school work and after school clubs Finally paid off. How she longed to go to the Academy since she was a little girl. After her mother died her dad put her up for adoption. Her new family gave her the push and the dream to go to Lunar Eclipse Academy. She Walked into her room Carrying Her most needed books and her lovely pet fox Tokala. Tokala Whispered "wow this place is way cooler than home!" "Shhhh! don't speak like that when mother is right behind us, you know she worked hard to give us the home we had!" Lilly Snarled back. Tokala was right though the room was really nice almost like a palace compared to the home she new. Her mother and father helped with her boxes, kissed and hugged goodbye and left. A few seconds after she opened her first box her little brother Damian Ran in and gave her a teary hug goodbye. "I'll never Forget you Lilly!" " Damian i will see you in a few weeks, it will be ok, Be strong for mother for me ok?" "ok Lilly i will try." "don't try, do okay?" "ok" Damian said as he ran out the door. "Ok some peace and quiet to un-pack." Lilly gently set her fox kit on the ground to play and looked for which room is hers. " number five, six, seven. There room number seven." She opened her Room and there was a huge bed a very expensive looking desk and laptop. She unpacked her stuff and came back out to the main room. There were her roommates.

"Hey!" Becca said, she tried to sound cheerfull but being forced to Rome did not please her, "I m Becca! Whats your name?"

"My name is Lilly, this is my Fox kit, Tokala, nice to meet you, Becca" "So, Aren't theese Rooms Huge?!"

Jessica stood with her face turned away from the crowd of people around her. She didn't feel like talking to anyone. Her long blonde hair spilled over her right shoulder, veiling her face. Her small bag was slung carelessly over her left shoulder, all of her things contained in a bag too small for the average teenage girl.
Jessica smiled bitterly as the thought crossed her mind. She knew that she was not an average teenager. She hated the normal. She preferred the eccentric.
The elevator continued it's ascent. One by one, the floor numbers lit up, climbing toward her floor number, and her destiny.
She would be spending much of her time at the Lunar Eclipse Academy. She had known it since childhood. It seemed unavoidable. It was just another part of her life that was predetermined. She had no say in her life. No freedom to be herself. Everything was planned out for her. Her friends, her school, her life. She came from America, the land of the free, but she might as well have come from a middle eastern country. Jessica wasn't free. She doubted she ever would be. Her parents would always have some control over her life.
The elevator dinged loud and ominously when it reached her floor. Looking up at the numbers above the elevator door, Jessica wanted to laugh. Of course, her floor would be the one to not light up. Her eyes tense with bitter humor, Jessica stepped off the elevator and onto a polished wooden floor. Lowering her eyes to the ground, Jessica wandered down the halls in search of her room.

Cassandra had just walked into her room when she heard her roommate, Jessica, come in behind her. Cassi flipped the light on and saw Jess look up at her. She had been studying the ground so intensly she hadnt realized Cassi was even in teh room.
Cassandra moved her long black hair off of her neck and smiled. Her blue eyes seemed to laugh, though she didnt want Jessica to think she was laughing at her. They had been friendly towards one another, but were still working on a real friendship.
"Hey Jess." She said sweetly.
Cassi walked into her room and flung her things on her bed. She changed her clothes to get comfortable once and for all. "How was your day? Any more trouble with Brandon?" she asked.
Her black and white cat Alice jumped into her arms and started purring as Cassi pet her. She had had the cat as long as she could remember, and found her comforting.

Startled, Jessica looked up to find her roommate looking at her expectantly, her hand absently stroking the head of her cat, Alice.
"Oh, uh, today was just the same as yesterday. I managed to avoid Brendon (it's with an E not an A) this morning, but he caught up to me this afternoon. He's still not happy with me. But I don't give a damn."

Cassandra sat in her chair and looked at Jessica. "What even happened between you two? If I may ask that is."

"It's a long story," Jessica sighed. "I don't think you'd want to hear it."

"Do I not want to hear it, or do you not want to tell it?" She asked softly.

"Yeah these rooms are really big." Twice as big as my mothers appartment Becca thought. "So, have you lived here in Rome your whole life?"

Ash walked into the Academy, his face smooth and blank, his blue eyes sparked with the emotion his face should have given away. He stopped in the entrance hall, then he walked toward his dorm room.

"Yes, I have lived here my whole life..well what of it I can remember." wow. she thought to her self ash looked ALOT different this year. She thought about running up to greet him, but thought that would be rude to her new roommate and she could meet up with him someother time, Ash was only a e-mail away. " Im going to go unpack my Laptop and set it all up, i will be back in a bit."

Jessica looked up at Cassi and shook her head. "It's a long story," she warned. "It starts when we were in high school. He was the quaterback of the football team and I was nobody. I had my close circle of friends and I was happy with that. We weren't popular, but we didn't care. We all took the advanced classes and aced them. We were nerds without really being nerds. Somehow Brenden ended up asking me out, and dummy me said yes." Jessica paused, turned to look at herself in the mirror. The only thing she saw that satisfied her were her shining green eyes that could at any moment change to blue and her long blonde hair. "I don't know what he saw in me, what he sees in me." Her voice was far off, as if she were talking in a tunnel.
Shaking her head, she focused back on Cassi. "We were a good couple for about five months. We were even voted cutest couple- gag me with a spoon -but I became miserable. His circle just wasn't my circle. It was horrible. I went to party after mindless party with him. And at each one I'd be the only one sober. I lost all of my friends. They hated me, would never talk to me. They would tell me that I had changed, when the truth was, I hadn't. I was trapped. Trapped between what I really was and what i pretended to be-for Brenden." Feeling restless, Jessica walked across the room and started unpacking her bag. She had stopped her story before the climax. She wasn't sure if she could finish telling it. Not to Cassi, not to anyone. It was something only she and Brenden knew. And she would prefer to keep it that way. For her safety and the safety of the people she talked to.
"I'll be right back," she murmured. "I need a lemonade." Without offering to get Cassi one, Jessica walked out of the room and down the hall to the vending machines.

Lilly walked into her room and setup her laptop and loged onto her e-mail. feeling a little ancious about ash, She quikly e-mail him. "heyy ash, I just wanted to say hey and was wondering how you liked it here and if you wanted to meet up sometime soon...we haven't talked in awhile..." and quickly sent it. She decided to go check out the food court. As she was slowly walking there she saw a girl that seemed upset, and Asked "hey, Are you alright? You seem upset, well i guess you wouldn't want to tell a stranger so, Im Lilly nice to meet you."

Jessica looked up at the girl and nodded her head. "Jessica," she mumbled. She slid a crinkly dollar bill into the bill accepter and pressed the lemonade button. She waited for the bottle to fall to the bottom before reaching into the trapdoor and pulling it out. "And I'm fine," she said when she looked back up at the girl. "Long day is all." Without another word, she pushed past the girl and started to head back for her dorm.

Becca saw Lilly come back ,"Hey wich bed do you want? Because I was wondering if i could have the window, it helps me sleep better." Becca heard a cough, and knew it wasnt from her roommates, she laughed nervously to cover the sound then coughed her self and started rubbing her arm like she did whenever she was in an awkward situation.

Ash looked at his papers, finding his dorm room number. He was standing in front of it. He breathed in, opened the door, and saw the room empty. There was no sign of a room mate. "Hm." He looked left and right down the hallway, then walked in, and shut the door. He started unpacking, picking the most comfortable bed since he had first choice.

Jessica walked back into her dorm room and shut the door with a bang. Unscrewing the lid from her bottle of lemonade, her lifted it to her lips and let the cold liquid slide down her throat. She chugged half of the bottle before setting it down on her night stand. Turning around, she waited for her roomate to say something to her.

"Sure, I doesn't matter to me, as long as I get to sleep in a comfy bed i am fine, My bed at my home were not the best." Liilly heard a beep sound and rushed to her laptop to see if it was an e-mail. But when she checked It was nothing, just spam. She came back out of her room to find her roommate staring at her very strangily "what..?" she asked

Ash had finally settled, the belongings he took were small in amount, and he liked it that way. He opened his laptop to find a new e-mail. From Lilly. He smirked, he hadn't talked to her in a while. He hit reply and started typing. "Hey, I haven't heard from you in a while. Nice to...read your typed words. Lunar Eclipse Academy is interesting. Feels like my first year here again. So far...its ok. I have a dorm room to myself, at least right now. How are things suiting you? Well, I hope, haha. We should hook up. Meet you at dinner ?
He clicked send then rested on his bed, looking at the ceiling. "I wonder if we can paint the rooms. White paint is quite boring."

"Nothing, I havent ever seen a laptop before letalone been in the same room as one." Becca felt guilty about lying, she, had sensed somthing different, quickly she grabbed her things and went the be by the window. a"Dont worry this isnt that comfey!" Her latge duffle fell to the ground, a hiss escaped it, and of course the hiss was way too lethal to pass as a normal animal. "Crap Reya!" she muttered.

Lilly checked her e-mail once again. There was the e-mail from ash. She swiftly opened it and began to read. she clicked reply." Ok dinner is perfect, I like it here so far, But I don't think anyone likes me here, well I guess you do, But im not positive...anyways..see you then! =]...Cant Wait..=]" Lilly laid down onto her soft bed, she begun to think of how Ashes eyes glistened in the sun light and quikly got that thought out of her head, She couldn't, not now, She had too many things to do, and Has to keep up with grades.

Ash heard his computer make a sound, but he let it go for now. He'd see her at dinner. He was thinking of what LEA would be like...something about it was different, yet indifferent at the same time. He finally got up and saw someone sitting in the bed across from him. Ash froze, and they looked at each other.
"So you're Ashton Mickelle? Hm, not exactly what I expected."
"So you're....whoever you are, I didn't know I had a room mate that was as silent as hell." Ash smiled, and the boy across from him smiled back. He held out his hand.
"My name's Jacoby Allanger." Ash shook his hand.
"Ash."

Lilly Unpacked all of her small belongings and look at the time, It was dinner already. "Crap, crap, crap!" She sturggled to find an outfit that looked nice and yet simple. She caught herself, wearing a skirt, "Eww, But i have never looked better"and off she went slowly but yet hastily. She walked into the food court and saw that he was not hear yet. She quikly got a table and brought out one of her many books, She then just realized She reads alot. She opened the book and started to read.

"Jess-" Cassi began, but Jessica cut her off. The clock had caught her attention.
"Oh would you look at that?" Jessica asked, "it's already dinner time. I'm starving. So I'm going to go down and eat. You coming or staying?" Cassi mumbled that she was going, but Jessica had barely heard her. She was desperate to escape the small dorm room and the uncomfortable conversation about her life.
She rushed out the door, grabbing the book she had resting on her bed and continued out the door. She walked briskly with her head down not paying attention to where she was going.

Becca once again nuged her duffle bag to make it stop moving, "Reya! Stop! I ll bring you food at, . . . Crap! Its dinner!" Becca through the rest of the things in her hand on her bed and went to dinner, not bothering to change. The jeans and old collage sweatshirt of her fathers were the nicest things she had. 'I need a job she thought as she closed her dorm door behind her.

Ash and Jake walked towards the dinner hall, Ash anxious to see the new faces.
"This is your first time at Lunar Eclipse, is it not?" Jacoby asked, as he opened the doors.
"Yep," Ash said, as he opened the other door and walked in, sighting mulitple girls' faces. He paused, and Jacoby laughed.
"Get used to the lack of our gender. Lunar Eclipse used to be an all girls academy until the last century, but guys still seem afraid of it."
"I'm not," Ash smirked, showing half of his perfect white teeth.

Jessica walked into the cafeteria with her head still down. She watch the floor a few feet ahead of her to make sure she wouldn't run into anything. She had crossed several feet into the cafeteria when she decided it would probably be a good idea to look up. She scanned the cafeteria and cursed when she saw Brenden across the cafeteria. He was looking away from her, she noticed with relief. She hoped to keep it that way.
To the left of her, a girl came stumbling into the cafeteria with a stack of books i her arms. Jessica watched in horror as the girl dropped the books causing a loud racket and every eye to turn in their direction.
Panicking, Jessica moved away to her right to stand behind two guys taller than her by many inches. "Please don't move," she begged them quietly as she watched the girl scramble to pick up her belongings from the ground.

Lilly reached down to grab a new book. hmmm she thought to herself i wonder if he is going to show up, i mean what if he doesn't? no, ash wouldn't do that, he is going to show up, Paitence is key.

Becca was still talking to herself as she entered the cafeteria, she paused momentarily, she hated the cafetiria, were to sit. After getting her food Becca slid into the emptiest table and started picking at her plate.

Lilly thought about calling Becca over but decided not too, she had a feeling becca didn't like her. She begun to worry that ash wasn't going to show until she saw him walk in the door, She tried to act as if she hadn't seen him and tried to keep reading.

Ash spotted Lilly a few tables from the door and he smiled. "I'll catch ya later." Jacoby headed in the other direction, toward his friends. Ash walked over and sat next to Lilly. "Hey, Lilly,"

Jessica bit her lip and then stood up straight. "Thanks," she mumbled to the guys who had stayed put in front of her. They merely nodded and continued their conversation. Wrapping her arms around herself, she let her hair fall over her shoulder to hide her face from Brenden. She doubted the thin veil would help, but it made her feel slightly better. Walking blindly, her eyes trained on the floor, she crossed the cafeteria.
Her thoughts and focus were centered around not drawing attention to herself she jumped when she bumped into someone. "I'm sorry," she mumbled to the guy that had been standing there. "I didn't see you standing there."

Lilly Looked up and saw him and tried so hard not to blush as she was caught by suprise "Ash...Hey" She Quietly slipped her book into her bag "so...how are you?" She asked

Ash turned and looked around. "Good, liking it here. You?" He turned toward her.

" Im Alright....I guess...." Lilly said in a really low Depressing sounding voice.

Cassandra put Alice on her bed and grabbed some cash from her wallet. Shoving her mp3 in her pocket, she left the dorm. Closing the door behind her, and heard Alice sratching on the other side. "I'll be back later, sugar, dont worry." She quickly walked into the food court and got in the salad line. She got a chicken ceaser salad, and a tall glass of water, but when looking around, couldnt find a good place to sit. She ended up at a small table in the corner all by herself. Pulling Her left leg onto her chair, she got comfortable.
As she ate, she pulled the mp3 out of her pocket and began listening to one of her all time favorite bands. She was deep into the music when a cute guy came up to her table. She looked up, startled. Plucking an earbud from her ear, she asked, "May I help you?"
He only smiled, and asked, "May I sit with you?"
Cassi was stunned. She had never had anyone ask to sit with her, they just.. sat down and ignored her. "Uh.. Sure." She turned down her music, and offered her hand. "I'm Cassandra Secret."
"Jacoby Allanger." He said with a smile.

"I'm sitting here today," Jessica annouced when she plopped down next to Cassi. "If I so much as come within spitting distance of Brenden, I think I'll rip his throat out." Taking a deep breath, Jessica blew the hair out of her face and looked at Cassi out of the corners of her eyes. "You don't mind, right?"

Cassi was startled at first, then said, "No, of course not. Theres plenty of room for the both of you here!" Wow.. People actually want to sit with me this year. Thats new! she thought.

"Who's this?" Jessica asked, motioning to the other person at the table. "I think I've seen you around here. In the distance. I've seen just about everyone in this school between this year and last." Bitterness and disgust creeped into Jessica's tone and her electric blue eyes began to change to a dark shade of green. Her eyes tended to change color depending on her mood. This made it impossible for her to lie about how she felt.
