a ten-storey tall building located in new york city lower east side, it is the home of many newspapers, including New York Tribune and its employees. this forum is for miscellaneous threads in the building.

upon entering the building, you will first see the reception counter. guests are required to state their businesses here and, once approved, would be given a security pass to pass the security barriers on the left of the counter. to the right are two sofas and a plasma television.

elevators •
after getting through the security barriers with your pass, press the button for the elevator to take you up the building. there are four elevators in the lobby, as well as a stairway located at the other side of the elevators. in the elevators are mirrors on the back and on the doors, along with cheesy elevator music.

located on the eighth and ninth floor, the New York Tribune houses offices of their reporters and journalists. bustling with activity every single day and hour, the employees rush to finish their work in time for print the next day.

more like a small area at the back of the new york tribune newsroom where a few lights are set up in front of a solid cloth background. very seldom used because nobody takes studio photographs anymore.

near the back of the newsroom is a pantry stocked weekly with biscuits, bread and junk food. not to mention a noisy coffee maker that serves not too good coffee. someone should buy a cappucino machine.

on every floor of the building are co-ed bathrooms with only three cubicles inside. a popular place for stressed out journalists puffing away on their cigarettes, the bathrooms is also a gossip mill for males and females alike.

located on the second floor, the cafeteria doesn't serve much delicious food, but it's cheap and it's convenient. not that many of them actually eat here, since you can just walk across the street to grab a bite from subway.

okay so in this place, not many of them have cars. who would want to be stuck in crazy traffic when you can just take the subway? but of course, the higher ups of the building got to show off their porshes and ferraris.

just across the street from the thompson press holdings, starbucks sells drip brewed coffee, espresso-based hot drinks, other hot and cold drinks, snacks and items such as mugs and coffee beans. starbucks brand ice cream and coffee are also sold at grocery stores.

an oasis of natural beauty smack in the middle of the city, its diverse landscape offers the lakes and ponds (great places for rowing and bird watching), rocky hills, the great lawn, the wooded ramble, and gardens. central park is also a great spot for people watching since it attracts all walks of life, everyone from rich upper eastsiders going for a jog in the park to artsy university students studying on the rocks to the less fortunate taking shelter in a lakeside hut.
