And now, the rest...

1. Before starting, please check out The Story So Far... and Kinds of Characters.

Please note - The Story So Far functions as the plot in that, this is the beginning of the story and it is up to the players to complete it. There is no set plot of sequence of events. Mendecant Surnaturel, Inc. is an open-ended RPG that is not dependent on a plot, but on the players acting within it. There are some aspects that I will not budge on, and those will be clearly defined for you.

2. No powerplaying. Unless you have the other person's consent. Not entire sure what that is? It is also commonly called god-modding.

Example: Drake invaded Raelin's mind, causing her to collapse from the drain of her mental power.

That's powerplaying. You can't make another character, who isn't yours, do something without their consent.

3. When registering your character's name, please be sure to register a first and last name. Any variants will need to be cleared by an Administrator. Please don't use joint accounts or create names not pretaining to your character. It can, become somewhat more or less confusing, at times. If you want to create more than one character, that is fine. Just remember to keep them all active or else you will lose the one that is inactive. Limit to 3 characters per person. Also, you much register as each character. You can't post as Alika Moreaux when your name is Keelin Lorcan. Simple enough.

4. Posting is a minimum of 5 sentences. Please refrain from posting "one-liners". Give it some effort. That's all we ask. We are looking for quality, not haphazard posts.

5. No on under the age of 16 will be accepted on this RPG. This board is Rated R! If that makes you squeamish or uncomfortable, please turn away now. Sex is allowed, but still keep in mind, younger players will be on the board or players who do not wish to read this kinds of threads. And the first secret line is: Lying next to you, in silent lucidity. If it goes further then PG-13, then you should either put a rating in the thread, 'fade to black', or just ignore the scene completely. But please, be respectable of other players. We are not saying that you cannot have a sexually oriented scene. We merely ask that you keep it tasteful.

6. Hitting, punching, kicking, or any forms of violence are permitted provided that it is required by your storyline and can be justified. A meaningless brawl will not be allowed unless there is a reason for it. Let's not be overly violent without reason. Killing another character is forbidden, unless you have that character's undisputable permission to do so. All character deaths also need to be cleared through an Administrator.

7. If you have a storyline for a certain character, please, let the person who is RPing as that character know, so they won't be left in the dark. Send a PM, or post a discussion thread in the appropriate forum, found here.

8. A reiteration, if you will. You've seen it twice. Now, thereis no excuse.

If you come to have any problems with someone on the board, take it up with an Admin. With varying opinons and beliefs, conflicts are bound to flare up. Do not blow these out of proportion. Respect your peers. No bashing or vulgarities are necessary. We want to keep this place safe and fun for everyone. So, we reiterate: If you have a problem with someone else or something occurring on the board, take it up with one of the Admins and it will be reviewed and handled accordingly.

9. Cursing and swearing happens. With the lot of characters we have and with new ones being introduced, you never know what kind of personality will pop in. If you MUST swear, keep it to a minimum. Every other word doesn't need to be an expletive. Use some common sense and judgement in this regard. You may also use the asterisk (*) to block out letters and make the word less visually offensive. If found using excessive expletives, you will be warned. If it continues, further action will be taken by the Admins. Just use your best judgement. It's an easy call.

10. Do not begin posting or RPing until your character has been approved and moved to the ranks of the ACCEPTED. To make sure we know that you read the rules, at the end of the application answer the question with this: Master of illusion, can you realize...

11. Have fun. That's the point of this, after all. :D
