I made up this story myself and posted it on another forum. It's called The Oracle.

The Oracle

By:T1c T4act03

Part I

Taither woke up in his bed to the sweet smell of freshly baked breakfast. Taither did not care for breakfast, for a reason nobody knew, he was always miserable. He didn't eat breakfast, nor say goodbye to his mother before he hurried off to work at his trainer's house. Taither had only turned 22 three months ago and he was already adept in swordsmanship skills. His trainer, Rene, was infact a woman also at the age of 22, so you might as well get the fact the she was a man out of your head right now. Today, Taither was happier than usual because he was graduating from his training. Right as he walked in she said, "Hey, Tai! Get over here!." So he walked over to the stable, where he usually trained. Rene never knew that Tai had a crush on her. They had grown up together, until one day she was taken to a school, by her father, Ian, which trained only the finest of warriors; this is why she was such a good trainer and instructor. When he arrived at the opening of the stable Rene was no longer standing there, it was completely pitch black inside (for the sun had not even risen yet). He felt a push behind him and was shoved into the dark stable. The door was slammed shut. Then he heard laughing. When he learned that it had been a joke by Rene. He did not even laugh (this was not unusual, for he never smiled nor laughed). Rene could always tell when he was sort of laughing inside. Rene was extremely beautiful indeed. Her eyes were literally almost as blue as the sea, her silky brown hair worn down to shoulder length, and on special occasions she sometimes wore a very beautiful dress made of pure white silk that gleamed like diamonds in the sun. When she had stopped laughing from her joke she told him to kneel. Just as the green ribbon had almost touched his neck. A scream, of a woman echoed through the field. Taither drew his sword as did Rene. They rushed to the back to the city to see what had happened.

Part II

As they got closer to the city they smelled the burning of wood and more screams. When they arrived at the city it was burning more than hell itself. A hooded and cloaked figure stood in the middle of all the chaos, with flames surrounding him but never touching him. He appeared to be admiring the work of his followers. They attempted to approach him, but when they were within 5 feet of him the flames seemed to come alive and ward them away. Taither said, "The hell with this! I must check on my mother, quickly!" The followers of the cloaked figure seemed to be monsters. The more you examined their faces the more you wanted to look away with disgust.
They arrived at the house. They saw tiny splatters of blood all over the walls and floor. Taither and Rene were getting nervous now. When they arrived at the bedroom, his mother's blood covered the floor and walls. She had been beheaded by what looked like a scythe. Tears filled Taither's eyes. He held what was left of his mother's body. When he was finished mourning over the blood soaked body. Anger and hate filled him. He pushed past Rene faster than a rocket. When he arrived near the city's center. He charged at the cloaked figure. The flames had died away at his command. He lowered his hood, and he had brown hair down to the middle of his back. When he turned around and faced Taither as he was still charging, Taither could see that the man's face was nearly covered with blood, signaling that he had slaughtered quite a few more people than his mother. But, you could still see his eyes. They were unforgettable. They were normal human eyes, but the pupils of them were as red as the blood on his face. He pulled out a large scythe, and Taither knew, this was the man who had slaughtered his mother. The man in the black cloak put himself in a battle stance. Taither, still half blinded from his tears launched himself into the air, ready to clash into the man who had ruined his life.

Part III

The cloaked man raised his scythe so that the hilt of it would deflect the sword's blade, it did. Taither landed flat on his back. If he had not forgotten some of his basic training, he would have known not to jump in the air to try and slash his target. Taither had blood on his back since the black streets were covered with blood. His straight silverish hair was messed up. As he tried to get up the man stuck the blade of his weapon right in front of his throat. He said in a voice not yelling nor whispering into his ear, "Like mother, like son." He began to move his arm as though he was about to slash Taither's head right off. Just as the blade nearly touched his neck, Rene's sword pushed it back. She said, "Leave him alone!" He said in an almost polite but dangerous voice, "Foolish children. I have no time to bother with you!" Flames surrounded him. It was so bright that no one could see. When the flames disappeared the man was gone. Rene said shortly afterwards when they had both recovered from what they had seen, "That man... was he... looking for something?" to which Taither replied, "It seemed that way." The city's water supply was running low from all the water used to put out the fire. Soon afterwards, it was clear to the city officials... the city was destroyed. There was no hope of restoring it. They must move to their sister city, Highlands City. The fire had almost diminished in the city. It was dusk when the move commenced. Taither, Rene, and her brother Trae walked together. Trae was 25 years old, so therefore he had a little more knowledge of the world than Rene or Taither. So, he knew the lands which they had to pass to reach this new city. The trouble was the desert in which they had to pass. There was only 3 oasis in the entire desert (which was quite large). But first they must pass through the Treeless Valley (Don't make the mistake of thinking that this was a large group. Keep in mind that it only had 15 people or so). As they approached the gate to the valley, Rene heard the sound of paws running on the ground. So, she stopped and looked around at her surroundings. She saw nothing, but a few minutes later she did. It was wolves, but not ordinary wolves, these wolves were Valley Wolves, they had poison in the the marrow of their fangs (if bitten it could kill you in 10 seconds or less). Rene shouted in reaction, "Valley wolves!". Once Taither, Rene, and Trae saw them properly, they could see that there were about 25 or so. This was good because, generally, they travel in packs of 70 or 80. The 5 soldiers drew their swords, as did Taither and Rene, and Trae pulled out a bow. He was a very skilled archer (not to say that he wasn't a very skilled swordsman too), He took three arrows in between his fingers and rested them on his bow. By now the pack had completely surrounded the group. The ones who were not skilled in combat were in the middle of the circle and the soldiers, Taither, Rene, and Trae were on the outside. It was 8 versus 25... it was indeed suicide.

Part IV

Without a last word the group charged upon the wolves. One soldier, Jealem, was pounced on before he even got one hit in. Taither was distracted as the wolf tore apart the flesh of another dead soldier violently. Blood was strewn everywhere. When Taither came back to his senses, he slashed the wolf's head off. Just then he got a cold feeling in his left leg. He turned and looked at the blood soaked ground. He saw that a wolf had bitten him in the calf and shin. He knocked it away and saw that it's fang had come off in his leg. He pulled it out and saw the blue poison ooze from the wound. He screamed with pain. Rene saw him and she tossed him a bottle of something red. She shouted across the battlefield, "Drink it, Tai!". He did as she instructed and looked at the bloody wound, it healed almost instantly. At that moment Rene noticed that the wolf's eyes were completely blood red. Eyes only turn this color when under a hypnosis spell. She sliced one's head off and looked at the blood. For some reason, nobody noticed that the wolf's blood was green. These wolves were not ordinary Valley Wolves, they had been genetically enhanced. This explained why they were so huge and their bony tales that looked almost deformed. When Taither killed the last one by stabbing his sword right into the it's mouth, the group saw that the only soldiers that were left were Trae, Rene, and Taither. And the wolves had gotten past a few soldiers and managed to kill at least a dozen citizens. Just as they recuperated Trae heard the sound of wind. Before he even turned his head, an arrow had just missed his face. He looked over to the hillside and saw the same monsters that they had seen in the city running down the hill with all of them at arms. Trae said to himself, "Oh my God, when will it end!?" Trae told Rene and Taither and the three soldiers stood at arms. When the army reached the foot of the hill, they had no problem at all sweeping the group of citizens and Trae, Rene, and Taither. Taither woke up in complete darkness. He could feel the coldness of metal cuffs binding him a wall. Just then he felt the cold blade of a scythe on his neck.

Part V

Taither was breathing deeply now even though he could see nothing, he knew that it was the man who had killed his mother. The same ominous voice he had heard at the city said, "Welcome, brother." Taither was now more confused than scared. He could see a dim light far away, it almost brought him a safe feeling until it went out. Then, the light went on for good. He saw the very man he had seen in the city. Taither said in a plain voice, "Brother? What do you mean? Surely I am no brother of yours." The cloaked man replied, "If only you knew... No! Its too early... Not yet! Not yet!" Taither was now more confused than ever. He looked around himself and saw Rene and Trae bonded to the wall just like him, but unconscious. Right then an explosion blew open the brick wall and 3 men walked in through the rubble. One of them was just about to remove his sword when the cloaked man said, "You are quite a nuisance!" and he disappeared in fire. One of the men who appeared to be the leader said, "Dammit! He keeps doing that!" He then directed the other two men to unbind Taither, Rene, and Trae. Taither then asked the the man who was the leader, "Excuse me sire, who are you?" The man replied, "We are the three leaders of the ATL." Taither had a puzzled look on his face, and the man said said as the other two men untied Trae and Rene and threw them over their backs, "The ATL stands for Anti-Triga League. I'll explain everything when we get the our headquarters. It's not too far from here." Infact, it was about 5 miles away, but since they had horses it took about 6 hours to get there. By the time they got there, Rene and Trae had woken up. They saw at least 200 people at the headquarters, signaling that this was quite a large league of warriors. They got to the chambers of the high ambassador, which just happened to be the man Taither had rightly taken for as the leader of the men. He introduced himself as Groal. He explained that the man who had killed his mother was the leader of an army who called themselves the Triga. They went to the city to look for a gem, but not just any old ordinary gem. This gem was the sapphire, which fits into the handle of the sword of the Oracle. He explained that there were two Oracles that created their world, the Oracle of Light and the Oracle of Darkness. He said that the cloaked man is known as Xian, and that he was the Oracle of Darkness. If Xian managed to get his hands on the sword of the Oracle he could do absolutely anything. He controlled all of the darkness in the world which included wars, death, and things of that sort. With the sword of the Oracle he could cover the world in complete darkness. He needed the sapphire because it was the gem that fit into the handle of the sword. The sword rested in the Realm of Twilight, which is the edge of light and darkness, the sword would not budge without that gem inside the handle. Once he has the sword he plans to slay the Oracle of Light. When he was done explaining, it all became clear. Xian called Taither "brother" because Taither was the Oracle of Light.

Part VI
When Taither told the others of this new discovery, they were shocked. Rene said, "But how could you not remember creating the world." Groal told them that Xian had probably banished him to the Realm of Twilight till he could find the gem, but Taither escaped and when he did some f is memory was left in the Realm becasue it is so powerful. Once everything was clear, they knew that they had to do somethign because if Taither was the Oracle of Light he does have extraordinary untapped powers. Groal said, "It is said that the Oracle of Light has wings." Taither focused hard on his back, but nothing happened. Then, a green orb began to glow in his hand like fire that did not burn. He threw it, and it burned down some of the wall separating this room from the next, it was like a fireball that could be thrown. He had just learned a power only known by the Oracle of Light! Groal said, "My word! You really are the Oracle of Light. Try to jump, the Oracles are said to be able to jump higher and farther than a normal human." Fortunatley, this almost took the place of flying since he could jump so high and far, but he still practiced growing wings everyday. Groal decided to gather up his army and meet the Trigan at the foot of the River of the Oracle. Since they were already charging down the hill leading down to it, it was very simple. When he rounded up the best men into an "unstopable" army they took their battle spots. Taither, Rene, and Trae were on the frontlines as usual. Groal was at the very tip of the triangle formation. They charged upon the Trigan. Then in a swirl of darkness and fire Xian appeared at the top of the hill. Taither ignored him because he knew he could not fight him when he was just learning his powers. Rene was knocked on her back. Taither tried to lend her his hand to get up, but he fell on top of her. They both laughed, and before Taither knew what he had done both of their lips were kissing eachother. When they both realized what they were doing they pulled their faces away immeadiatly, and they both blushed and laughed a little. When they realized they were in battle again they got up and both turned a different way. The battle was pretty straight-forward if the Trigan was behind him he stabbed his sword right bihing his hip and if they were infront of him he smaxked their sword away as much as he needed to and slash their head off. But, after a while this could make even the strongest man tired. Don't think that battles lasted onyl a few minutes because (well, in this case anyway) the battle lasted atleast 3 hours. When all of them had been slayed only 62 men remained out of the normal 200. Xian was still at the top of the hill he had a slight grin at Taither. Then he shouted at him, "Have you truly learned what you are?" Taither did not respond, as every memory he had was coming back to him. He remembered when he had fought Xian. Groal's theory proved to be exactly right. Taither rested in that Realm for hundred of thousands of years this is why he knew little of what was going on. He was in the future. Taither jump in anger and was going to slash him when he felt a white hot pain in his back. Somethign was tearing through his skin and the cloth of his shirt. He looked at his back when he was still soaring and he saw two white large eagle wings juttign from his back and shouted, "I can fly!"
