Guild Art Project, I know your curious

As you all know I will not be able to play wow for a bit and this presents a problem for me as I am rather addicted, but I suggest a project for the whole tribe that might get me past this dark, dark time.

The Zandalari Comic

A comic written and drawn by the guild itself, we will create a story and members of the guild can create pages or frames for the comic. Anyone think this is interesting?

I just just thinking, like an hour ago about starting a comic...

This is a great idea! I'm -totally- on board for this! The tough part would be organizing everything and the artists and whatnot.

I'll lend my hand for drawing whatever, just lemme know what to do. hehe

I'd be down for this as well. I've found that the busier I am the less depressed I seem to be. So let's stack on some work!

Well having the forums to organize things is a big help, we will split up pages into lots and then those of us interested in helping with the drawing part can draw lots and trade till we are happy. First thing to get this rolling will be to create a story, I think this should be open to the whole guild kinda like a open rp so no one gets their characters used in a way that is not true to the players wishes.

That's going to be tricky....Well, the story bit, I mean. Should we come up with a basic concept, then just roleplay it out in a thread?

Well, whenever I've done stories or comics in the past I've always started with free association or free-writing. Basically just throw out ideas and see what sticks. So, any ideas?

This also depends how long of a story we want, as well...Some ideas that would work for short stories, might not work for long ones, and the other way around.

Is this going to be a nice long story? Collection of shorter stories? Or maybe even a web-comic?


lol I'm so excited...I've written written/drawn so many comics its ridiculous. Never finished any of them...but, t'was good times...hehehe

Well there is not limit to what we do besides how much interest we can generate. Short stories, web comics on Zandalari.com, whatever we can come up with. Lets start by brainstorming and we can see what ideas stick and develop them further.

I thnk something short would be a good start, RP out a storyline, turn it into a storyboard, into a comic, right?

Were you thinking collaboration? Multiple drawers, maybe someone that does color? Or stand alone efforts? Maybe all of the above?

I really want this to be a collaboration, multiple artists and people adding to the storyline.

(Oh goodness, Cahl and Mamba are gonna pwn the rest of us with their art skillz. xP )

I'd have to re-scan everything, Mamba. lol And with...*twitch* Hundreds of pages....I think I'll pass. xD The storylines were all cheezy, anyways. Which, is why I won't have a lot to contribute story-wise.

I'll have to set up a section on the website too, for the comic whenever it's ready. Which also reminds me...I'm sure I have a lot of updates to do. >_>

We should have something that could be pretty versatile and able to accomodate most of the tribe, too....

Hey...what if we had like, the history of Zanda? Gradually introduce the tribe mates as they join, and the storylines that we've been through?

Well tasi the history could really get this project rolling a good starting point with lots of short stories and opportunities to get everyone up to speed and used to working together. I can see it now The Zandalari Archive: short stories from around the fire

If we're gonna do a comic, I say start out with how the Zanda got created, since we've got that already. Then you could look at maybe the Talons/Kenye, or maybe specific groups, such as the Warriors, Priests, Shamans, etc.

I'm here to help send out/work out ideas, since I can't draw squat

I throw my vote in with the history of the Zanda, for sure. It is a good solid way to start it, the storyline is already there, and its something people would be interested in. Not that I can help draw any of it. >.<

Just let me know if you need help with the story or good quick details of it to storyboard or whatever. I think this is a great idea and will be lots of fun for all involved. ...though...this also means we have to figure out who joined when O.o

Ziss is pretty old school. As is Oolan. I do remember that much, from when we moved over here. And Julz. They were three of the first "new" members. Originals (that are still active) would be Cahlind, Zanz (sorta), Keva.....umm...forgive my sieve like brain. But I think those are the main ones. Rhom is original as well, but his activity is pretty low I think. Anyways! I am excited, let me know how I can help!
