geez, i'd almost fogotten about that family tree. guess it'll need some revision when WoLK drops and we (hopefully *fingers crossed*) find out more about the loa of the ice trolls. if any of you find anything relating to "new" troll gods, please let me know.
zuul'grum, do you have any resources for the shadow ascendants and how some trolls worship them? i'd like to see that. |

Mahn,
I was browsing the Wrath portion of the WoWwiki page yesterday and on there there is a map of the ice troll lands and it shows several Shrines to different gods with the names listed on them. |

Thanks for the lead, Abi. Here's what I've found so far (caveat: this was taken from a beta forum post, so it can't be taken as 100% true, but it's intersting none the less):
"The Drakkari [ice trolls] have their own pantheon called the Wild Gods, like the Primal and Forest previously known. Through killing them, they take their power and are using it against the Scourge and anyone else that pisses them off. They’ve met with some success because they already downed one Necropolis and kept the Scourge out of upper Zul'drak. The Zandalar trolls return and are trying to stop the Drakkari from sacrificing their gods. The Zandalar are concerned because this is a short term power gain, and what they gain for a fleeting time they will ultimately lose forever. From what I‘ve seen, the Drakkari pantheon consists of Sseratus (Cobra), Quetz'lun (Quetzalcoatl), Mamtoth (Mammoth), Rhunok (Polar Bear) and Har'koa (Snow Leopard)." Nice... |

Would I be correct in assuming that a Quetzalcoatl is the same thing a Wind Serpent in WoW? Its also fascinating that we see that the gods of the trolls can actually be sacrificed/killed/lost/etc, as is being done by the Drakkari. I wonder if something similar was done in Zul'Aman with the god-imbued trolls, or if they were more like avatars. The information I have found on Shadow Ascendants comes from WoWWiki, but they have copied it word for word from the WoW RPG book. A link to my source can be found here Also found this while doing my own personal research, which is probably obtained from the same source as our original post. |
