Yup, Suds - It's an Off Off Broadway production that (I think) he's also helping to produce. The man makes things happen for himself, doesn't he?

There's also some kind of Internet soap opera thing that I saw with his name attached as well. Anyone know what that's all about? Is it just a fan doing something and including he and Van in the group or another project of Jake's?

PS - Off to see if there's a writers' conference in Jersey that month so I can write off a trip....

Where did you see that about the internet soap thing, Barb? I haven't seen/heard anything about it. Do you remember the name of it?

It showed up on my FB homepage saying "Jake SIlbermann has been added to Price of Luxry, a new Internet based Soap Opera." It's a group you have to ask to join so I don't know if the person just added him when he created the group (because it's his public page and Van's) or if it's something he actually belongs to.

BTW - there IS a writer's conference in October in NJ. Now I have to figure something out. The price we pay for stalking -- I mean fandom....

Edited to add: It's gone now - the blog is still there, but Jake's affiliation and the public group are gone. So it must be a fan thing. I got excited at first that I could see he and Van on my computer screen.

Thanks for the info, Barb! Nothing appeared on my fb homepage, but I'm only friends with Jake, not Van, so that may have made a difference, IDK. With Jake seeming to be staying in the world of East Coast theater, it might be a long time before Midwesterners like me will be able to see him in something other than Stuffer.

ETA
I checked it out and it appears to be just a text internet soap, like when P&G "relaunched" Another World.

Pretty sure that was just a fan adding Jake to the group. They do that all the time with that nonsense to both boys. It was nothing.

But yay for some more theatre! Very awesome news. :D

Could someone who's on FB please ask Jake if there are any updates on Derby Day. Suds and I want to go to one of these plays and DD sounds like the better play. But it's during the Christmas season and there is no info on it except for a synopsis. I wonder if it's still a go?

Here's the synopsis:

Thanks!

Well, I did a search on Camisade Theatre Company and found this:

There was some info in this thread about that.

And Jake said at that fundraiser that he was a producer on the production.

Yes, I know about that thread but I thought the Nov 30th date and the Clurman Theater parts were new (but it's very possible I just forgot!). I tried to go to the Clurman Theater web page but they don't seem to have anything about Derby Day yet...

Oh, cool, it says to check back soon for a sneak peek video (and "details of special events"??). Looks like they have rehearsal footage from past shows on their YouTube page.
