Come on, every guy has played Poker at some point in his life.

If you haven't, grab some cards, and research the rules. If you need to know any game type, it MUST be Texas Hold 'Em. The rest is a bonus to your poker knowledge.

So yeah, this is a general poker talk thread. Talk about strategies. Situational betting. Which hands to play. When to bet, check, raise, and fold. Calculating your chances to strike a card.

Discuss it all.

When I play for cash, I prefer solid play .

Solid play as in only play with

10/10 , J/J , Q/Q , K/K , Ace/Ace .

Or a combination of either that I mentioned above .

Unless Im chipleader or second place with chips , then i'll play a few more hands.

When I play for fun with friends or not for money, I play less serious and play alot of hands .

I haven't played for money, yet. My friends would hate the idea if it included me sitting at the table with them. lol

Besides the pocket pairs and high connectors (like you mentioned) I'll also play suited connectors or gapped suited connectors (like 7/9 suited) to try my luck at a straight or flush, or both.

As chip leader I use any somewhat decent cards but fold as soon as the betting is too high or if the flop doesn't do me any good. I do the same when I play for fun w/o money.

Lol, I remember playing Poker on FullTilt with you Luis. We both made final table one time, that was badass.

I still play Hold'Em online a bit. I wanna get around to transferring some real money into my account again (I won like $120 in cash games a while back).

Well real life always beats online tho

but to kill time and boredom it can be nice to play for cash online, some small tournys like 45man ( 1 dollar entree fee and 14 dollars for the nr 1 and 10 dollars for the nr 2 )

Or go for the 180mans tourny, winner gets 108 dollars, but prizes are for the top 18, entree fee is 2 dollars, so if you get in the top 18, you'll have doubled your entree money

Omaha and 7 Stud are cool even though they bore me if I play any of them for too long, but it's nice to switch it up once in a while.
