Great to be Back

[Mason Halifax]

Mason entered the common room and looked around. It was completly empty something that Mason wasn't use to. He sat down in one of the chairs and curled up pulling out his book knowing that once classes started he wouldn't get the chance to read.

Dessirae had climbed the staircase saying the password as the door opened she stepped in making her way up the staircase and into the Common room she held her books in her hand and glanced around seeing a Boy she smiled and nodded at him as she sat down in a chair and opened up her book thumbing at the pages and scanning the book carefully.

Mason looked up from his book when he heard someone walk into the common room. He saw the girl nod to him as she sat down and started to read a book. "Hi." he replied trying to strict up a conversation. He wasn't a big fan of the silence that had consumed the room and much prefered the noise.

Dessirae shifted in her seat as she smiled at the boy "Hello" she replied placing her bookmark back inside the book as she gently closed it and put it in her lap her hands on it. "Im Dessirae but you can call me Dez, and you are?" she asked politely

"I'm Mason, nothing really short for that." Mason joked. He also marked where finished reading and closed his book. "I'm in my second year. What year are you?" he knew she wasn't in his year and was definatly older then him, but he wans't sure by how much.

[Dessirae Mason]

"Im In My Fifth year" she smiled sweetly biting her lower lip he feet scraping the wood floor beneath them. "So you excited for another year?" She asked as she looked down at the floor her gaze returning to his.

[Mason Halifax]

"Yeah its always great to be back." Mason smiled. "There is just something about being at Hogwarts that makes everything seem perfect. Until we get all the homework and stuff, but even then things aren't so bad. You glad to be back?"

[Dessirae Mason]

Dez shifted in her chair laying the book down on a table biting her lower lip and nodding "Yeah for sure...I actually dont mind the homework!"she explained "Why dont like studyin?"she laughed slightly

Mason laughed, "Not to sound offensive, but why do you like homework? I don't really think I know that many people who like it. I just find it so time consuming and annoying. I especially hate writting essays, just trying to find the right facts to use and making sure it is long enough it just a pain." he explained

[Dessirae Mason]

Dez couldnt help but laugh "Well i find that you learn more from doing homework and personally i want to learn.. not saying that you dont want to...just I dont know how to explain it"she laughed slightly "So...How was your trip here?"

[Mason Halifax]

"Yeah I understand." Mason said, "I guess some people don't mind doing homework , and you are one of the lucky few." he smiled at her. "Myr trip wasn't too bad, I pretty much just talked to all my friends. How about yous?"

[Dessirae Mason]

Dez sat back as she sighed slightly "yeah It was okay.... "She said "Talked to some friends slept alot"she laughed as she looked at him.

"I've never been able to sleep on the train." Mason told her, "No matter how hard I try I can't. And I really should because I can't sleep the night before school starts either." he shrugged his shoulders, "Hopefully I'll sleep well tonight."
