18 years ago, a boy was born to one of the most powerful mutants in the world, and the leading doctor in genetics, Professor Charles Xavier and Dr. Moira McTaggert. David Charles McTaggert grew up with his mother on Muir Island while his father went back to New York to create what would later be known as Xavier's School for Gifted students.
As the boy grew, so did his jealousy at his father's inability to connect with him, whereas he was perfectly able to connect with his mutant students. Young David's powers came to light when he was 13, and with the powers came the boy's mental illness. In a fit of rage, the boy killed his mother, after learning the use of the Muir Island jets and how to get to his father.
With Moira dead, and Muir Island destroyed, the thirteen year old boy flew to New York, set on taking apart the entire mansion, along with its inhabitants, which included Jean Grey, Scott Summers, Ororo Munroe, Remy LeBeau, and Logan Howlet, along with younger students that Charles had started bringing into his school.
After a long a difficult battle that included X-Men and students alike, the boy was faced by an irate Jean Grey, who was prepared to use the full force of her powers to keep the boy from killing anyone in the mansion, however she was stopped by Charles.
With a smirk on his face, the boy killed his own father, however the strength that it took to kill Charles left David too weak to do much else. He left the mansion in ruins, but not before telling the X-Men that he would be back for them.
Currently, nearly five years after the death of their beloved Professor, the X-Men have reopened the mansion, keeping the superhero portion of it a secret even to the students. The Brotherhood has been formed by a blue skinned, redheaded morphing mutant named Mystique, and a precog named Destiny, after a prophecy shown to Destiny showed Mystique ruling the world as Homo-Superior. The only catch is the fact that David McTaggert was the brawn, while Mystique was the brain.
Where will you stand? Will you stand with the X-Men, who have pledged themselves to their students and the world that hates them? Or will you fight with the Brotherhood for David and Mystique's view of Homo Superior ruling supreme?
Sometimes, you must make a Sacrifice.

The X-MenFor the past few years the X-Men have been busy rebuilding, and settling into the new mansion. The original five have split into two teams to allow for the older students who proved their worth in the battle against David McTaggert and his many personnas a chance to be on an X-Men team. The two teams are led by Cyclops and Storm. Cyclops' team, codename alpha, is the primary strike team. Storm's team, codename omega, is the secondary team, the one that stays behind in case a threat approaches the school. These two teams are known throughout the school as training teams, who train together, and train students together, however what is not known even to the students is that these teams also are ready to fight at a moments notice. The world at large does not know this either. - There are no students on the X-Men team.
- The X-Men are an invite only team meaning Storm, Cyclops, and Jean ask members if they would like to join once they have graduated.
- No X-Men are under the age of eighteen.
- The X-Men are currently a secret.

The X-StudentsThese students are found and searched out by Jean Grey-Summers and offered a place in the school not long after their powers manifest. Most of the students range between the ages of twelve to eighteen, though a few may be older due to an inability to control their powers. Basic college preparatory classes are taught here, but the school focuses on teaching students about the proper use of their powers. - Students are allowed to live at the mansion year-round, or they may visit their parents on holidays and summer break.
- Students are admitted through invite only, as it is not widely known that the school is a mutant one.
- Students are also split into teams that they train in.
- Older students (over eighteen) are given Jr trainee status if they have been at the mansion for more than a year, as they know more about the ins and outs of the school. Jr. status means that these students are responsible for helping out other students when necessary.

The BrotherhoodThe Brotherhood is fairly new, only having been established for roughly a few months. Mystique and Destiny are it's leaders, with a circle of their most trusted lackeys right underneath them. Their current project is one that David has brought to their attention, the rumor of the infamous Apocalypse. The Brotherhood is best known for their view of homo-superior supremacy. - David McTaggert does not consider himself "Brotherhood" he is just with them because of the power they have that he feels he can use.
- Members of the Brotherhood can reside either in the estate in the Savage Land, or they can have their own apartments further inland.
- Magneto is not with the Brotherhood. He is a friend and ally of the X-Men, and is currently running a rebuilt Muir Island facility for dangerously powerful mutants in memory of his friends, Charles Xavier, and Moira McTaggert.
- There are no squads or teams in the Brotherhood. When it is time for them to fight, they send out all members all at once.

The WorldThe world has become a frightening place for mutants. The Mutant Registration Act is in effect, thanks to Senator Kelly's avid persuasion. It is not required at the moment, however it is greatly recommended. Sentinels are being processed, and programs like Weapon X are at a plateau. Mutants are recommended to not show their abilities in public, unless they are willing to be captured by the military, or they can fight them off.
