As it is a lot easier to update and keep track of one thread I will post in here everything I do for my Militia army.

So far I have been working on an Earthshaker emplacement:

(the crew ae on temp bases while I paint them - they will be pinned to the treadplate eventually - they would of been magnetised but I forgot to do)

I would post more but I seem to be having problems with photobucket...will put up some more later.

Excellent work. It makes me think of the gun batteries in Straight Silver.

That looks so much better than normal Earthshaker emplacements. ohmy.gif It makes me wanna make a few but I have way to many projects on the go. Dx You could add some razor wire around the front of the wall but that is probably unnecessary anyways. xD

Couple of early WIP pics of the Earthshaker platform:

Materials used: MDF base, foamboard 'wall' & raised base, filler over the walls then styrene for the rest.

The crew are FW Militia figures.

And now a few more things:

Some may remember I did an IW Bassie some time ago, when I sold the IW I kept it for the Militia. The gun will go to a second Earthshaker platform like above and the hull became a Chimera:

As you can see it is pretty simple and straightforward.

Next up is the Command Chimera. Inspired by a picture in the Apoc Rulebook (you can see one like it in when of the big four page spreads):

You can pretty much see what has been done...Rear door, side skirts, new turret, new weapons, moved top piece back etc.

Next up some infantry.

Cadian & FW Militia bits, nothing special but I include them so everything is covered.

Infantry Platoon Command Squad (who will be an Armoured Fist Cmnd Squad with the Cmnd Chimera above when I use the Militia AC):

To give them a more 'professional' look and as though they had first dibs on the equipment all their arms are Cadian instead of FW ones.

The rest of the squad:

If you exclude the Vox guy the other four members have approx 22-23 parts making up their eight arms.

As always let me have your thoughts.

Wow! I really like this! I can't wait to see it painted. You have done some awesome work on the tank. I think I am in desperate need of modeling chain.... Keep up the good work.

I love them! I still think that the $18 for those 3 loaders is the best deal I've ever gotten in a GW purchase...

The tank blows my mind and I'd love to see some of these guys painted. (I had been putting off painting my 3 but I couldn't resist and I started on them already)

Thanks for all the comments guys. Been a bit ill recently in one way or the other so things have been a bit quiet but some work has been done.

Using a spare Enforcer torso and a bit of hacking and slashing I put together an Enforcer tank commander. Game wise he will be on a 'Commissar' tank in the Militia Armoured Comp.
user posted image

Went back to my Hellhound conversion and started to bring it into line with the Militia look I am going for. Added spikes, skulls, chaos icons to the side skirts etc. Also added the turret ring on top from a Russ to raise the turret slightly (so that the weapon clears the spikes on the track guards). I also cleared up the rear area as it was too 'fussy' originally. Added some stowage and redid the rivets at the rear (they were too small originally).

Undercoated the command chimera:
user posted image

Started playing around with a test scheme for the vehicles (very rough, not a proper paint job. I was just looking at colours. This will be stripped eventually and re-done).
user posted image

For my Demolisher I started doing the same thing as with the Hellhound - adding the Militia fetishes the whole force will have. Skulls, spikes, chains etc.
user posted image
user posted image
Also gave the turret a commander..
user posted image
user posted image

And to top it all off I have started putting together some more infantry:
user posted image
Each infantry squad will have a missile launcher. The second crewman, the loader, will carry the missiles in these carry cases (either over the shoulder in in the hand), note the figure is just a stand in, he won't be an actual loader.
user posted image
I have done a bit more work on the carry case but not taken a pic yet.

C&C, Suggestions etc always welcome. Let me know what you think.

I like all your tanks for sure but the paint scheme is kinda boring. It is inspired by anything specific or just some random idea? I'm gonna do a combo of snow and urban camo on my Traitor Guard armour cause it just lets me do so much fun stuff. Part is that in places where their camo doesn't blend in you see tens of tanks advancing with guns blazing which will scare off quite a few enemies. Also I'm gonna do some tweaked out styles on command tanks where there are daemonic faces hidden in the camo scheme. Also though since some of the equipment is stolen from forgeworlds having them smeared in blood with make a nice contrast.

About time I updated, the next three squads all have arms now. No GS has been done on them yet though and a few will probably change. They were put together quick (well quickish) so I could get a game in with them.

Have to be links as they are bigger than 700 wide:
Squad A
Squad B
Squad C

As for the Demolisher I have roughed up a Dozer for it as well as add the missing bits to the turret:
user posted image

Added some spikes, skulls and some stowage to the hull.

Started on another chimera as well. Added spikes & skulls to the left side. Also added some stowage to the rear. Mocked up a mortar and ammo boxes, chained them in place then covered it with a tarp. Should be adding some cord to hold the tarp in place at some point.

Man, I really like what you're doing with the army here. it's definitely one to be proud of.

You're doing an excellent job on th tanks, especially. they REALLY look renegade. I think my favorite touch is the multitude of partial circles/chaos stars. Typically, when something like that is carried throughout the army as much as you have, I honestly tend to get bored with it.

Not this, though. For some reason, I just can't seem to get enough of it.
It's an idea I will definitely "appropriate" on all of the Rhino's I need to collect for my Chaos army.

I only have one complaint... That frigging tarp.

Your mortar and ammo box look SOOOO good. Covering it with that tarp is about as close to sinful as you can come.

Nice work.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I have been undercoating a bit today but no pics as of yet.

As for the stowage and tarp what you can't see in the picture is how shoddy the bits are. I literally threw styrene together so that once the tarp was added some of the shape would come through. In reality the bits couldn't be left uncovered as it would of looked awful. Shame the detail and shape didn't come through as well as I hoped but it is a learning curve so next one hopefully will be better.

Has the tarp material already been hardened? If not you could surely soak it with some kind of watered down glue then use tooth picks to prod it into the details.

I like the loading of the chimera. however I think it would have looked a lot better, if you had added the tarp before the chains.

But still everything you do just looks great!

Few pics of the Demolisher and Hellhound undercoated. Was a bit cold out and i think that affected the spray as it has gone a bit grey in places:

Lord Of Rebirth: Yeah the tarp has been hardened. It was glued in position with super glue and then brushed over with thinned PVA.

Thanks for the comments everyone. kyng72, go for it, give in and get a Traitor Guard army.
