Now I should of been getting on with the Infantry or regular tanks....
...instead I started converting a Baneblade into a Decimator (precursor to the Shadowsword).
Just a series of pictures for now, ask any questions you want and i'll answer them. LINK as this one is more than 700 wide. (Bits on top not glued in place yet)

I hate your plasticard work because it represents a skill level I'll never achieve ._. lol.
I have to agree with not covering the bits with the tarp lol, they look well enough to not need it! And how do you measure/cut your plasticard, with some sort of laser I assume? lol

Anything I've tried has been denied for some reason, so here yah go.

The level of detail you've slapped on it is breathtaking!
One question, though. How are you getting the guitar wire to fit into place without "springing" all over the place?
EDIT: Those Earthshakers need battle damage! Corpses, debris, tank traps, anything; a base that big deserves some stuff. Maybe the donors for the skulls on the spikes might be lying up against the barrier.

These are all very very nice. I can't quite believe the lengths you're going to for detail on the Decimator (like cutting viewing ports off of the Baneblade).
Are the cannisters along the side of the Hellhound the ammunition for it, or are you planning on having some sort of trailer attached to the back using the pipe that comes out the rear?

I'm really liking the serious lever of detail and think I might at some point do my own decimator since it really is as good a banblade variant as any that FW have made.

Thanks for all the comments, and to answer your questions:
Got Bitz?: Not had a big problem with that. I find if you cut it with a sharp enough knife it tends not to come apart much. Though drilling a hole deep enough and having the wire long enough helps as you can push it in and get it rooted well so it doesn't come out again and if you do get some fraying you can nip the end off and still have enough length to do the job.
The Earthshakers will get a lot more details on the base but they will be added after, should make it easier to paint. No bodies though, keeping most of my Militia stuff pretty 'clean'.
jais: Cheers!
Vredesbyrd: No, all the fuel is contained within the vehicle hull. The Hellhound has no transport capabilities because it is meant to have the fuel tank for the weapon inside. The bit at the back is to refuel the tank inside or to drain the fuel when the vehicle is at reat behind the lines (to help prevent 'accidents')
Lord Of Rebirth: Thanks, go for it. The riveting may drive you mad but converting superheavies is pretty rewarding.
Mawa: Ideas come from all over. The Militia Command Chimera (with the rear mounted turret) came from a picture in the Apoc rulebook, in one of the battle reports you can just see one looking like it in amongst dozens of other regular tanks. The Decimator I read about in the Epic Chaos List, few lines of text (but no pictures) was enough to get me to want to do one. When it comes to detailing I tend to make it up as I go, with a big bits box it gives you the choice to play around and try things out to see what looks good.
As for rivets they are cut from styrene rods. 1mm diameter in most cases though the Decimator has some 1.6mm diameter in some places. Brush some poly cement on and you can place the rivet on the model and you have a few seconds to move it into place before it sets.

the level of details is just... breathtaking. Compared to FW, your work is even BETTER! Incredible how bits and pieces from several models come together in this awesome baneblade conversion

Rictus Mand you are insane and your p.cart skills are godlike! I love everything I see and I hope one day I will be close to your skills. You made a great job converting every vechicle bt my favorite are the cimera and the earthshaker emplacement. You details looks very sharp and well made so I canīt find anything to criticise but I will keep my eyes on this thread and loot alot of ideas (if thatīs okeay)

Update time. Exhausts are now done...
The bits in front are some of the 69 bloody pieces of plastic i punched out of the styrene sheet. Worked pretty well. In hindsight it would of been better to of spaced the holes out more as the plastic warped so much that it made it very hard to glue down.
The other side showing the hasty repair job the mechanics did (and conveniantly hiding the area where the sheet went shite when it was glued down) Keep in mind that the picture is much bigger than the real life item and it really shows up the warpage on the punched sheet, it is far less noticeable in real life.
And with the top pieces removed:
I have to admit not being completely happy with it, but I'll live with it.
Rivets added: 21 Rivet Total: 343.
byram: Cheeky git...
animerik: Cheers, take whatever ideas you want (though tell everyone where you got them from... )

RIcuts I would never not say where they came from. Your stuff is very inspiering and I hope we will see lots of more stuff from you. The new exahaust on the tanks looks good and I think you should keep the extra pice on top of the exhaust it looks more detailed. I think you should try and put something in front of that shriny stuff mabe some bolted on plates or such?

Cheers, the top pieces were just removed so that what was behind them could be photographed and so I have access to that area later.
Minor update, given the tank a coat of Halfords grey to see what it looks like when all the bits are brought together instead of clashing with the mix of colours. More importantly it will show up any areas that need cleaning up or gaps I have missed.
Some areas were masked off before spraying as these will be worked on later/have bits glued to them etc. Some pics...

It's okay to have an eye for details, but seriously, when Byram says; "maybe its my screen, but it looks like your missing one rivet..." I'm beginning to ask myself if "detail-extremists" do have an "Detail-vision" in addition to their normal vision.
