Yes, those are Kroot in Eldar armor. Yes, they have ears (the middle one even has a "guardian" symbol earring).

Nice ideas, I had already done a few woodelf eldar conversions so that one was a given, but the lizardman and krrot stuff looked good.

Keep on coming up with the mad ideas and perhaps one day we will even get rules for some of this stuff.

I just love the exodite commander - where is the head from? Tomb Kings range?

Great work!

The Lord's headdress is made of a banner top from the Tomb Kings chariot set.

can i please please please see bigger pics of all the kroot and eldar, these are fantastic, and i'd like to try and have a go, i can see the woody skirts used on the kroot and the eldar, and the fact that the kroot seem to have eldar thighs?

but what are the ears made of, and are they half kroot half lizzy heads?

Cheers

Here's some close-ups of the unfinished Kroot in Eldar armor.

user posted image

The ears are a very simple conversion, and it's not from Lizardmen. I'm not going to tell you all where I got the pieces for it yet, I'd actually like to see how long it takes for anyone to figure it out. I don't expect it to take long. His pistol is a mix of Kroot rifle, Kroot canister (not sure what they're supposed to represent, power cells?), IG lasgun, and an Eldar weapon clip.

Good guess, but no. The fact that it's all plastic should help.

Here's a close-up of the leader, with Guardian earring:

And a couple views of some of the other Exodites (and one Eldar w/ a wierd heavy weapon, I never decided what it was supposed to be).

I still love that little pistol.

Yes CHS, that is exactly where I got the ears: Wood Elf Spites. I knew it wouldn't take long for the board to figure it out. smile.gif

I love the combination of wood elf, lizardmen and eldar parts - it's a great look. Can I ask what the helmet/hood is on the heavy weapons guy?

Actually, it's the back-end of the Eldar scatter laser (multi-laser?) from the Falcon Grav Tank. I just carved out a hollow for his head.

Armored Kroot do look great, don't they? tongue.gif

Trying to think of a way to get "eared" kroot and bel tian to fit... MUST HAVE "eared" eldar Kroot!!

drool.gif

The exodite idea is quite cool but then i'd have to come up with a new idea for tanks, and other stuff, and i'm not that hot at that sort of thing... sad.gif

Stegadons, or other large prehistoric creatures would be fitting for exodite vechiles. Toys R Us has plenty of plastic dinos for not that much.

With the new plastic weapons platform sprues you should be able to make a good Howdah, (somewhere armoured and armed for the eldar to sit).

Typhoid Gary: again remarkable minis mate. The exodites are really nicely done, very ferral and I love your Kroot.

Confirms an idea I've had for a while too.... Scratch.gif

I actually planned on snatching up a few of these this past weekend, but the main HQ accidentally* sent the old metal support weapon blisters to my local store instead of the cool new plastic ones.

* "accidentally" happens a lot with this store. Remember that WD poster with all the campaign commanders that came out a few months ago? There were two commanders with static silhouettes listed as "lost in the warp", they were both from my local GW store.

Two years later, some progress:

I bought two boxes of the new DE cold ones, just so I had a reason to work on Exodites a bit more. Now to get my hands on some more support platforms...
