Greydeath,

Until I got an email about this site about a month ago, I don't remember having heard of you outside of eBay. Some months ago, probably doing a search for "Tau bitz", I stumbled upon one of your manatee auctions. From that auction, I drew inspiration to build this:

Thank you.

And now a bit about the model:

A personal carrier for a Tau Commander, armed with a twin-linked short barrel rail rifle and two gun drones. (the sensor spike on the "tail" is broken at the moment and should stand at more of an angle) I wanted to have the back open up, but the amount of plasticard and putty I would have had to remove from the inner workings to make interior details possible would have comprimised the structural integrity.

A quick tip about painting alien lettering: If you're looking at decals, always remember that they are backwards when still on the sheet. (I painted my letters backwards and didn't realize it until I was going through the codex to see if what I had written actually meant anything blink.gif )

Umm, I think you'll find they aren't...

It looks great - I love the intake at the top, and the paint job is excellent. smile.gif

Somehow, looking at the Tau decal sheet for reference while painting, my letters ended up backwards from the codex (I think that's where I eventually found them). Being someone who never uses decals, I figured it was because they're all printed backwards, guess I was mistaken.

Sorry, reading my post again, it seems a little harshly put, which wasn't my intention at all. imsorry.gif

No worries - I never use them either (made a mess of 'em too many times). happy.gif

Oh, I didn't take it as being harsh at all, no worries. I just realized I can't find my codex to compare the two.
