Right guys, not much of an update more of an 'Im still alive' post. Long story short Ive been pretty ill lately but starting to get over it now and itching to get working on the WE again.

Here are a few pics of the Gorehound let me know what you think.

I think I may have squared it off a bit too much and obviously there is still loads of gap filling/detailing etc to be done. Im waiting on a Stormtalon cockpit coming my way from the US and that will hopefully be the base of the final head.

Ok first off an apology, Ive went and built ANOTHER fething head!! ohmy.gif This is going to be the final base though save some details being added/gaps filled, i am sick of building heads so this will do lol although I may remove the vent on the sides and stick some weapons in there, possibly a couple of flamers. <_< Anywhoo I thought Id show where Im at.

It really is great work. The upper legs look a little slim to be supporting the mass of the main body. Is there plans to bulk em up a bit?

W0W.. This is mental!!!!

But I can't help thinking it'd probably be cheaper to just convert a forgeworld titan :/

Thanks for looking guys,

Fire1098, Im done with the legs for now but I see what you mean, if I ever build another one I may look at bulking them up a little in profile.

Trenchfoot, So far Ive spent approx £150 on this, I have most of the parts to work on the arms etc so I dont foresee having to spend much more. wink.gif When you look at the FW Warhound they start at around £245 just for the body, arms/weapons are around another £70-80. smile.gif

This project is kinda on the back burner at the mo as Im working on my Star Phantoms Space Marines. I will get back to it soon though.

NOW, I'm not exactly sure about this mock up, part of me likes it and part of me thinks it's cheesy as all hells nut sacks. I'm looking for some feedback as usual. Usual apologies apply for making another head mockup smile.gif

I should also add that I've placed an order for a certain set of bits from the Ork stompa kit. I'm not too sure of the scale but I thought I may as well see how it looks. As to what 'it' is, I'll leave you to guess among yourselves. smile.gif

It looks fine, but I think it'll look better if you GS away the face smile.gif

If you don't get some of those plastic river troll projectile vomits flying out of the mouth, I'll be very, very disappointed.

Would make a great inferno gun.

This is so freaking amazing, and even more so due to the restriction of source parts! I am most impressed, sir!

Personally, I think you went a little bit overboard with hacking appart the Ogre Kingdoms bit, but otherwise, it looks quite nice smile.gif

Which part do you think I went to far with buddy? The newest pics are a different standard/banner bit more metallic and less fleshy looking. i thought it fit the rest of the model a little better. smile.gif

Oh, heh. I figured you had made this from the other one. And I liked that one better, safe for the afformentioned face smile.gif

With so many other projects I should be working on I decided tonight before getting ready for work while randomly rummaging through my bitsbox that I would start another project! ohmy.gif This was built using only the extra bits I have kicking around from the Gorehound. Obviously its nowhere near finished (nothing of mine ever is :p) The legs need beefing up a little but I like it so far.

Here are a couple more closeups of the head. Its made using a Defiler Battlecannon mount (minus the cannon itself) Two Termi teleport beacons and a head from the WHFB Ogre Kingdoms Stonehorn kit. Ive wanted to use the head for ages, I bought it to use on the Gorehound then realised the scale was all wrong. It never actually occured to me to build a smaller walker lol.

I magnetised the neck section but unfortunatley due to where I mounted the magnet the head sits a lot more upright now, I still think it looks like its stalking across the battlefield though. I just need to sort out some proper weapon options for it and GS the gaps then it sonto paint. smile.gif

Love em both, the larger one's head IMO looks to ramshackle. I would built a basic box out of plastic card and glue to bit to it for a more cleaner look and I think you can still achieve the look you are looking for.

As for the smaller one, he rocks and the head is something you should go for with for you big one. The little guy looks like a beast, something from night mares. I couldn't help of thinking about Jeff Goldblum in the "The Fly".

Well done projects, keep it up.

Thanks Mud I see what youre saying but hopefully once I start to GS the head on the big guy it'll come together a bit better.

Its been a busy ol week so this is a very minor update. Got a base sorted for the Blood Stalker and detailed the back vents. The trophies and skulls on top are just there to try and give me ideas how to decorate this beastie, I also need to make it more Khornate. smile.gif

Great stuff, if you can think which kits have you used. Also I like the head on the smaller one, very evil looking.

Thanks buddy, the big guy was mainly made from 2 Defilers and a Storm Raven with some parts from the Land Raider, the smaller guy was made from extra pieces of the kits used on the big one. And so was this. wink.gif

A possible Heldrake stand in.
None of this is glued or cut to fit, I literally picked up a Land Raider base and a Defiler torso and started sticking stuff together with blu tack. I seem to suffer from an affliction that prevents me from working on stuff I need to work on and start doing stoopid stuff
