Well... maybe I'm an old fart and a closed mind, but sincerely I don't understand why to make models from WH40K like WWII german forces.
I know that there's a lot of resemblance with armies from WWI and WWII, but there are a lot of 1/35 models of WWII armies.
Howewer this is you army and you can do everything you want with it.
Sorry for this acid reply.

(I hope to see not any balkankreuze or worse...)

Tastes and colors ...
I like warhammer 40K and the Second World War, this is an opportunity to connect the two!
If it does not please I can understand, but if I post this is not to have a debate about it but on my future montages / paintings.

What's bothering you is perhaps the story? But ultimately, it will just be a warhammer 40k army playable but painted the pattern of German ...

As I said before that's your army and you can do it how you like it.
It was just my opinion and maybe it was not necessary.

I would have to say that it is more about what inspires us, and in modifying the tanks we make them unique and truly our own.

Not finding modelers to mold a tank wheel, I flip on the tube of plastic card, I found the right mm (10mm). I would fill the hole with the green stuff and I think it should.
So the Panzer is waiting ...

But here's a command:

At the price I found, I jumped on it ($ 22).

In history, the renegades can play the role of other factions affected by nuclear radiation.

This is a beautiful figure, well detailed, what a treat!

I think using a white undercoat.

For (s) death korps I just ordered a set of paint ww2 German in Prince August. So I will put on the waiting Ogryn! I thought, skin, flesh rotting. For metal, rusty something good. And for the rest, tones brown / green.

PS: for the tank I'm still waiting for my tubes plastic card ...

That was a fun model to paint. It was a nice change of pace from the rank and file troopers. I look forward to seeing how yours comes out.

Hello;

I finally bought the white undercoat, I concur, this is much better than the black for details! I will try to take pictures step by step to make a kind of tutorial.

So the Ogryn undercoating:

Then a shipment of paintings Prince August and a matt varnish:

user posted image

For the moment I bought the main colors for the figures, I hope not to have forgotten ...

Painting is already diluted basis compared to GW, there are so many shades.

The tip (which can open) is a kind of system to account taste, not very practical to put everywhere and for an optimal mix!

That's all for now.

PS: next purchase, the airbrush.

Hello;

I just finished the skin of the Ogryn.

Sorry for the first and the last picture (the last will be redone when I have stacks ...).

Little tutorial:

Use a pallet to keep the mixture moist cool (box + towel + water + baking paper), and paint your still good after hours. Place in refrigerator to return the next day (photo next time).

Primary:

- Magenta Prince August: 1 taste
- Beige Red Prince August: 2 taste
- Brush standard GW: base layer

user posted image

First clarification:

- Beige red PA: 1 taste
- Flesh base PA: 2 taste
- Brush 8 PA: brushing

user posted image

Second clarification:
- Flesh base: 2 taste
- Brush 8 PA: brushing

He even missed the scratches, I've got to think about it some more.

I prefer to wait to finish the whole figure to go from matte varnish and ask after my wash.

Due to lack of batteries for the camera, I was not able to take pictures for every step ...

But I will still explain!

Seems to come along nicely.
I like the skin of the Berserker together with the olive drab metal parts.
I'm not so sure about the brownish hood though - but maybe later when some more details are added it will look better.
Keep the updates comin'
Cheers
Klaus

That candle/smoke effect is totally stolen.

Nice work here, but your barrell on the Vanquisher seems to be slightly droopy. Maybe its the angle of the camera shot.

What you mean by "stolen" ...?

I just want to share what I discovered and show that this technique is very effective.

I did not know there was a user right for this technique.

The goal of the hobby is not sharing?

I may be incorrectly interpreted "stolen", I'm French ...

For the tank's cannon, it is an effect on the picture, it is straight;).

Thank you.

And again. I've never been a fan of wrecked vehicle markers but this is phenomenal and I would absolutely use these in a game.
